We visited the Frankincense Village and were well received upon arrival. The place is interesting to discover, but we found the price a little excessive compared to the time actually spent there, especially when we take into account the duration of the trip to get there. It is better to avoid visiting in rainy weather, as some parts of the route become less pleasant and less accessible. It would also be useful to have more information on the working conditions of craftsmen, which sometimes seemed difficult. Better transparency on this aspect would greatly improve the overall experience. Finally, we noticed a certain insistence of the guides for visitors to leave a review on TripAdvisor, which can make you a little uncomfortable. A more natural approach would be preferable.

It was an amazing experience nothing like I’ve ever done before. Absolutely fascinating to see how incense sticks are made and find out how much love and attention every single stick gets. The colours are so intense and it was just such a wonderful thing to do. Our guide Felix was fantastic when totally out of his way to make the trip memorable so much so I do it again we loved it.

Visited the incense village as part of a full day tour to Nimh Bin. Very interesting as I had never thought how these little sticks of fragrance were made. Our guide took a lot of photos as we tried to relax and look good.

We booked this tour as a small group but were lucky enough to be the only people who booked on the day so it became a private tour. Nien was our guide and Jeff our driver. Nien was very knowledgeable and he gave great insights into Vietnamese life and culture. Jeff navigated through the chaotic traffic of Hanoi like it was nothing and when we got to our first stop of the incense village, it was an Instagram bonanza. Nien gave us plenty of free time and took some photos for us. He also gave us masks as the village where the incense is made has a lot of dust and other particles. Next stop was the temple dedicated to Vietnam's emperor, a picturesque place. We then had lunch near Tam Coc. It seems like a place for tourists only. Not a local in sight. But the food was tasty and service was friendly and fast. The highlight was the boat ride through Tam Coc - Halong Bay on land. It was beautiful! The boate rowers do push hard for sale of embroidery but just politely decline and they dont seem to mind. Be prepared for a scowl though if you dont give a tip at the end of the ride. A great day out and totally recommend.

Tour guide Nien is quite knowledgeable with interesting Vietnam’s background and culture which makes our trip fruitful with scenery and related history in the trip to incense village, Trang An and Temple in Hao Lu ancient capital. There was only me, my mom and another solo traveller lady on a 9 seater lumosine car, which is very convenient throughout the trip and also thanks to Nien who took pictures very nicely for me and my mom.

The tour exceeded my expectations! I felt like I learned a lot of interesting facts about the history of Vietnam and the vietnamese citizens. The incense factory was very amazing at how they take bamboo to make incense. Overall this tour was one of the best tours I've ever been on. Our tour guy Nien made this tour memorable with the knowledge he provided about the history of Vietnam and all of the great pictures he took of us. It was extremely easy to communicate with my tour guide through WhatsApp. He was very responsive. If I could do it again I wouldn't change anything. The day was perfect! The itinerary was busy, but perfectly planned for an amazing day in Ninh Binh!
