Travelled by minibus, not the most comfortable in the world and somewhat speedy! On arrival at the castle we were allotted 1 hour and 10 minutes for our visit. We bought tickets to look around the inside but sadly had to come out half way through, missed the gift shop altogether and had no time for coffee, very disappointing. An itinerary would have been helpful as our German (?) guide seemed to rush past view points without us knowing where we were. The visit to Portree on the Isle of Skye again was rushed, only 1 hour for lunch and gift shopping, not long enough! Our guide lost his voice in the afternoon and apologised at the end of the trip for ‘not being at his best’. We are returning to Inverness next year and can only hope that things have improved by then.

Very nice driver and guide, Fiona. Took us around. My mother has reduced mobility, Fiona was very considerate and helpful. Very knowledgeable and gave us lots of details about the history of the area and locality.

A great day trip for those looking for an overview of Skye! Our tour guide and driver was very kind, entertaining and accommodating. We had plenty of time in Portree to look around, and it was a great day overall despite the rainy, cold weather. We were also still glad to stop at the Old Man of Storr viewing point despite the clouds making it difficult to see. The viewing points for Kilt Rock and Lealt Falls were particularly spectacular, even in the inclement weather! Would recommend this tour to those staying in Inverness!
