If you are driving, we recommend parking at the Old Town Rose Street Multi-Storey Car Park, 24 Rose St, IV1 1NQ, conveniently located next to our departure point.
Please note: from 22nd December to 1st February 2025, Eilean Donan Castle will be closed. We will still stop at the castle for photos and access to the bridge will be available. However, the Visitor Centre and toilet facilities will be closed.

Eilean Donan Castle
After Loch Ness, our Skye Tour continues on to Eilean Donan Castle*; one of Scotland’s most photographed castles. The castle is situated on its own island at the head of Loch Duich. We take time here to explore the castle and its atmospheric surroundings.

Stuck in a van forever…

3.00Long ride. Sometimes limited bathroom stops. Our driver was great! None of our issues were her fault. Isle of Skye was amazing. Castle was really interesting. All of the stops are worth the trip. However, we were stuck on the back row of a 19 passenger van. My wife and I were stuck in the middle 2 seats. Since the tour is 12 hours long, a significant amount of the sights are along the way without an actual stop. We were unable to see most of the things being described. At least the other two individuals were by the windows. I was stuck dead middle of the aisle and could barely catch a glimpse of anything based on the seats and people in front of me. I should have just gotten off the van when we started. I knew we were not going to enjoy the ride. IMO, the back seats should not be sold, or at least should be sold at a discount. Secondly, the first 3 rows of seats should be offered at a premium price. I would have been more than willing to pay more for a better seat. If you’re the last group on, turn around and walk off if the only seats available are the last row. My wife said 3 stars was too generous. ;)

5.00This was hands down the best tour of our holiday. The route is spectacular and includes a good number of stops which makes it possible to engage with the views up close. Our guide and driver, Lawrence, was simply one of the best hosts we could have. He was warm, funny and completely dedicated to ensuring everyone on the bus was at ease and made the most of their trip. We couldn’t have asked for a better host!
