It was my first tour in Scotland, I was a bit sceptical as how it will unfold in autumn but I am so glad that I went ahead with my decision. I had a wonderful experience in visiting the Eileen Donan castle and Isle of sky. Our tour guide and bus driver Alex did an excellent job in explaining the places, historical significance and the stories behind the names and history of the place. His explanations made the tour very valuable and value for money. The tour was well planned with adequate stops for toilet breaks, lunch and coffee breaks. I was able to maximise the visit and was able to take some lovely pictures despite the weather. I would definitely recommend Timberbush tours to my friends and family. If anyone is in two minds please don’t hesitate just go for it. Thanks Alex for making my visit to Inverness memorable.

Alex was amazing and knowledgeable with the tour. He answered all the questions we had and was very friendly. Would definitely do this again with a nice weather next time.

Alex was a thorough and knowledgeable guide. The locations and views we stopped at were spectacular! We appreciated Alex’s personal connection to Portree and the surrounding area. Even with less than perfect weather, this tour explores breathtaking scenery and history.

While Atis seemed like a nice person, he was probably the worst bus tour guide I have had in the over 10 tours I have been on. His knowledge was limited leading to him repeatedly saying very similar things. He also decided to go into politics multiple times throughout the journey making it uncomfortable. He didn’t give much directions on where to actually look for things. For an 11 hour tour, it was lot of old man mumbling with no real learning or understanding going on.

The day is long, with a lot of time in the bus. I am sure that it would have been spectacular if the weather had cooperated, but Alan, our tour guide provided us with so much information about the history, culture, and folklore that it was thoroughly entertaining.

An excellent tour with Alex - he perfectly times the stories, explanations and anecdotes so that when you get to the stop you’re ready to take it all in!

We had a great day with Owen our amazing guide. quintessential Scottish kilted tour guide who really knew his history and kept us entertained all day. Heat all day tour along Loc Ness and to Skye with brilliant scenery and photo ops. Excellent deep fried haggis at Portree and a pint at the local before driving us carefully home. Only thing better driving lights at night needed gor your driver and passenger safety. Owen brilliantly avoided a 🦌 but the lights were not good. Thanks for a perfract day to see my great great grandmothers Isle of Skye.

Team is amazing, we innitially had booked a 2 day tour with timberbush and we got contacted mentioning the tour was cancelled, they took good care of us l; they offered options, we choose day trip to Isle of Skye instead. The communication via email eas very clear, they reimbursed the price different for the 1 day tour. During the tour Alex was our guide, he was so kind, he is also very experienced, the trip was very enjoyable. Only downfall was the short time at Portree due to weather, despite that Alex made the tour super fun and he took us to so many places were we could enjoy, he was very considerate with us having nice breaks during the long driving bits. Would highly recommend! Also so nice to hear all the fairy stories from a local.
