If you are driving, we recommend parking at the Old Town Rose Street Multi-Storey Car Park, 24 Rose St, IV1 1NQ, conveniently located next to our departure point.
Please note: from 22nd December to 1st February 2025, Eilean Donan Castle will be closed. We will still stop at the castle for photos and access to the bridge will be available. However, the Visitor Centre and toilet facilities will be closed.

After Loch Ness, our Skye Tour continues on to Eilean Donan Castle*; one of Scotland’s most photographed castles. The castle is situated on its own island at the head of Loch Duich. We take time here to explore the castle and its atmospheric surroundings.

5.00Stewart was a great guide. He was funny, knowledgeable and clearly loved his country. His enjoyment spread to all of us. And what a beautiful place, especially since the weather cleared about noon and the rest of the day had sun and blue skies. The sights are spectacular. This was well worth the time.

5.00On Saturday, June 6, I fulfilled a dream: visiting Eilean Donan Castle and the Isle of Skye, and I succeeded thanks to a day tour from Inverness with Timberbush. We left early in the morning from Inverness, initially stopping on the shores of Loch Ness to admire Urquhart Castle, and then we arrived at the wonderful Eilean Donan. Late in the morning, we finally arrived on the Isle of Skye, and I cannot describe my joy in being able to see landscapes like those of the Old Man of Storr and Kilt Rock in person: I took dozens of photos, but nothing can describe the feeling of wonder you experience seeing them in front of you! The bus journey is long, it is true, but it offers views that you never tire of looking at, and it is itself a beautiful part of the experience. Finally, I want to say a huge thank you to our guide Lawrence (Ingy) who wonderfully accompanied us with his friendliness and stories throughout the journey: his words reflect the love for his land, and this is certainly a very important aspect during the tour!

5.00This tour was so fun, and our guide, Caz, was great! She made the trip even better! The only critique I would have is to adjust the time for the lunch stop in Prtree to be a little long and make one of the other stops shorter. I don’t think we needed as much time at the fairy pond.
