Climbing Island Peak (Imja Tse) was one of the most rewarding adventures of my life. The journey through the Khumbu Valley alone was breathtaking — passing through Sherpa villages, suspension bridges, and monasteries with the towering Himalayas always in sight. The trek up to base camp tested both my physical and mental limits, but the views from the summit made every step worth it. Standing at over 6,100 meters, surrounded by Lhotse, Ama Dablam, and Makalu, felt like touching the sky. The guides were professional, patient, and experienced — they made sure safety was always the top priority. The technical section near the summit was challenging but manageable with their guidance. If you’re looking for a true Himalayan climbing experience that combines adventure, culture, and incredible mountain scenery, Island Peak is the perfect choice. It’s not easy — but it’s unforgettable. ⭐ Rating: 9.5/10 🏔️ Difficulty: Moderate to Challenging ⏱️ Duration: Around 16–20 days 💬 Best For: Those ready for their first real Himalayan climbing expeiences

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5/5) I climbed Island Peak in October 2025 as part of a guided expedition after completing the Everest Base Camp trek, and it was hands down one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. If you’re looking for a true Himalayan adventure that combines trekking and mountaineering, Island Peak is the perfect next step. It’s tough but doable, and the sense of achievement is indescribable. Would absolutely recommend this to anyone seeking a challenge beyond trekking.

I recommend the services of a wonderful organizer - Accessible Adventure. At the same time great fun and unforgettable experiences, wonderful atmosphere and professional support. I recommend both substantive knowledge about climbing and preparation for it (e.g. acclimatization) as well as the ability to prepare trekking and care from the moment of landing in Kathmandu through a great quality hotel and transfer to local airports. A great asset of the company are people with great knowledge of local specifics. This helped a lot in moments when quick adaptation to problems was needed, e.g. at the airport in Lukla. Even the porter (greetings Mijan) supported me more than once, going far beyond his duties. Generally a very pro-client company :-) And finally a wonderful person of a climbing guide and at the same time a guide on the route -> Extensive experience in climbing such demanding peaks as Ama Dablam, and good technical training (and I know a bit about it ;-) )
