We will drive you by the Old City Walls of Constantinople while our guide will be giving you all historical information behind of these walls. The Istanbul city walls has eyewitness many Sieges, Raids, Events. You will stop by 2/3 most important historical main attractions located near by city walls.
First one is Seven Dungeons or well known name Yedikule Fortress.
Second one is Chora Church with beautiful Byzantine Mosaics.
And the third one is the last palace of Byzantine Emperors Tekfur Palace, and last one is hidden Nakkaş Cistern. A secret landmark in the center of Istanbul.

What To Expect
The Walls of Istanbul
Our private guide will pick you from your hotel with driver and VIP vehicle. Then, you will start your tour by driving beside of almost 2 thousand years of Old Ancient City Walls of (Constantinople) İstanbul. (you can stop any time you want by the city wall and clime up to the city wall)
You will stop by Yedikule Fortress Museum or called Seven Dungeons, where the first Ottoman sultan has been strangled by his own man and also prison to royal christian who have been captured by Ottoman Empire. After Seven Dungeons, we will drive you by the old city walls to the Chora Church.

Great tour, even on an unlucky day

5.00This was a great tour. Even on an unlucky day where some entries were cancelled due to snow, I'm very happy. We got to see my main interest (the Walls), and other great items I hand't really knownabout (Chora church). The guide Aydin was knowledgeable, and always had info to share. We were able to customize a few items with extra time due to the closed locations, and I even finished my shopping for family. The hotel pickup/dropoff made it all easy, even from downtown. I'd recommend this, and might even do it again myself in better weather.

5.00I took this tour on an unlucky day when snow closed a few places, but it was still worth it. I got the see the main attraction i was interested in (the Walls), and others that were a great surprise (Chora church). Aydin was a great and knowledgeable guide, and had information to add at all times. The city transfers made this easy to do, even from downtown. We were able to do some custom stops with the extra time from the closed locations, and I was able to finish shopping for family there. The cost was more than other tours I had seen, and I think it was worth it. I'd highly recommend this, and would do it again myself in better weather in the future.

5.00Outstanding tour. In the United States A series on the Ottoman Empire and there was a a length series on the sieges of Constantinople and how Great the City walls were in stopping multiple attempts to break and loot the city. This tour and our guide Aydin took us on the walls, the dudgeons the areas where prisoners were executed . Aydin explained it all , including the three walls the moat. And how the city finally fell to the Ottomans. It was amazing! Aydin was very good, knowledgeable great clear English. And I am hard of hearing. He also took care of my wife. Helping on steps and preventing stumbles. I ask him to take us to see the Blue Mosque and the Haigh Sophia. Both tours were excellent as well. What a great day! Our driver was also excellent. Very tight streets he saved us many steps and climbs up hill.

5.00This is just amazing tour! From the driver who picked up us from our hotel until the guide who was certainly very knowledgeable and with amazing attitude! Just want to let you know, this is a unique tour! You can find many city tours but not old city walls itinerary like this. Our guide Aydin had unbelievable knowledge and passion about the history and got us back to the Roman Empire time and how those fortification held many enemies away from the city! Chora Church ⛪️ was breathtaking, specially while the guide was putting all mosaic depiction in amazing explanation...

5.00My wife’s top attraction to see in Istanbul was the Wall. It lived up to her expectations. The tour guide Aiden was wonderful. Experience and knowledge. He knows the perfect locations to show us. An added benefit is we were the only tourists at the site.
He is passionate about what he does and is fully aware of the visitors' needs once engaged!

5.00This is We had a quick 2 day stay over in Istanbul, and that Aydın and his team helped arrange some great tours so we could pack in the sites as much as we could. They were in constant communication, and our guide Aydın was fabulous and so well informed on the history of the sites we were seeing along with things on the way. They are flexible and could change course easily if we needed to during our tour visits. They also arranged all our airport transfers, and they all went beautifully! I highly recommend this tour and their services. For English speakers, Aydin is a fabulous English speaking guide with a fun personality. We loved Istanbul and can't wait to go back!! Aydın is not just a guide his a historian at the same time with different perspectives on the city walls of Istanbul! He is passionate about what he does and is fully aware of the visitors' needs once engaged! You are not just having a normal regular guide, you are having so much more than that! 5.00The city walls and Cora church tour is a must for the history buff going to Istanbul, who has already seen the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace and other sites in the old city. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Aydin. It is clear that he loves the area around the city walls and Cora church. His knowledge was impressive and his enthusiasm or was infectious as he and I discussed various periods of byzantine and early ottoman history. Even my wife who does not particularly care for visiting history sites was very impressed. Be prepared for some walking and stair climbing since of course you were going on the city walls. For me the highlight was finally being able to see the mosaic in the Chora church. They are truly masterpieces of the late byzantine period

5.00Our excellent guide provided a great historical background to the wonderful city walls of Istanbul & the palace. He ably rose to the challenge of the unexpected closure of the fortress & we still saw a lot of the walls. He also arranged for us to visit Chora church (now a mosque) the next day so we could go in to see the wonderful frescoes & mosaics - they are in amazing condition & must-see if this sort of history is for you.
