What To Expect

We will pick you up at the lobby of your hotel in Antigua Guatemala or Guatemala City. Reaching the Archaeological Site of Iximche will take us approximately 1 hour and a half or two hours. Relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery of the highlands of Guatemala!
Iximche
Upon arriving at the Archaeological Site of Iximche, you will be fascinated by the stone structures built by the ancient Mayan civilization that called this place home. Learn about the exciting history of its kings, plazas, traditions, and customs. Don't be surprised if you see people of the living Mayan culture performing a ceremony in that place, this is still a sacred place for them and their religion and beliefs are maintained. If luck is with us, you`ll observe one of these Mayan ceremonies.

Iximche and Canopy/Go Kart experience

3.00Iximche was very beautiful and incredible but when we went to the next excursion which was the canopy and go karts with lunch we were disappointed. It's really not adult friendly. All the activities excluding the lunch was geared towards children. The canopy zipline was a kiddie Zipline and the same for the go karts. Even the horse back riding was basically a pony ride where you are led by someone holding you the whole time. No fault of our tour guide. But it should have been nice to know that the second excursion is geared toward children. Ruben, our guide, and our driver, Miguel are fantastic. Iximche is worth it if you don't have a chance to visit Tikal. Second portion was not my favorite.
