Activity Description for Travelers Step into the creative world of Japanese pottery with a hands-on Kurinuki workshop in the heart of Amman. Guided by an experienced ceramic artist, you’ll learn the traditional Japanese technique of carving clay to shape a unique vessel. What you’ll do: Begin with an introduction to Kurinuki and the Japanese Wabi-Sabi philosophy, which celebrates imperfection and natural beauty. Choose your clay block and carve it into a cup, bowl, or small vessel using simple hand tools. Explore textures, patterns, and forms that reflect your personal style. Enjoy a welcoming artistic atmosphere with snacks and drinks included. At the end, you’ll leave with your own handmade creation – a one-of-a-kind ceramic piece that carries the story of your hands. This workshop is perfect for beginners, travelers seeking a cultural experience, or anyone who wants to discover the calming and creative process of Japanese pottery.
Enjoy complimentary snacks, fine teas, and fresh coffee. Alcoholic drinks are available from our menu at an extra cost.

I had a wonderful time today at Gilgamesh Art Café. The staff were amazing, very helpful, welcoming, and friendly, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. The café features a beautiful gallery filled with inspiring artwork that creates a unique and creative atmosphere. I also had the chance to try Japanese pottery, which was such a fun and relaxing experience. It was my first time exploring this kind of art, and I really enjoyed learning the process and shaping the clay. It felt both calming and creatively fulfilling. The shisha was great, and the overall atmosphere was cozy, heartwarming, and incredibly relaxing. It’s definitely one of the best experiences I’ve had in Amman. I’m already looking forward to my future visits. This place is officially one of my favorite spots!

Cozy fun place to get creative. We had a great time making Japanese ceramics through the art of Wabi Sabi and sipping on homemade mulled wine. Highly recommend
