Roam through one of the most fascinating Natural Parks of the Balkans, known for the diverse wildlife and various plants.
At the entrance of the National Park Galicica the excursion starts. The tour passes through the village of Velestovo and crosses a forest of low trunk plants and a rocky area. Furthermore, the route gets to a larger area covered with pastures and a natural mountain lake.
Of course, along the way, there will be multiple stops to enjoy the stunning view of the glistering and brightening colors of the Lake and the city of Ohrid. So, plenty of beautiful opportunities to make pictures. While looking at the the other side of the lake, you will see the Albanian mountains rise above the mist that clouds the lake on warm days. During the entire drive, the guide explains about the specificity of the “Galicica” national park, its peculiarities and characteristics.

5.00With 4 passengers and a driver in each 4x4 we set off up into the Galicica National Park. There were soon some spectacular views over Lake Ohrid and later in the day over Lake Prespa. The road were unpaved tracks, so the trip is probably not suitable for anyone with back problems. Lunch was provided and we ate it in a small 'house' way up in the mountains. A great trip if you want to get out in the wild for a day.
