After being picked up from your hotel you’ll travel to the adventure capital district of Fiji, Pacific Harbor/Navua to begin a journey to a world away from the cares of modern living. Take a cruise up the Navua river, past villages, farmlands, pristine tropical rainforests, deep gorges/canyons, meandering rapids and numerous cascading waterfalls. Stop for a refreshing swim in Navua Rivers biggest waterfall before leisurely ride on the unsinkable "HMS BILIBILI" (bamboo raft) a reenactment of centuries old only means of transportation down river. A Fijian warrior will escort you to the village meeting house to experience age-old customs and traditions with a customary welcome yaqona (kava) ceremony.. This sacred ceremony is only performed to visiting high chiefs or very important people. Learn the History of the village established by lone Englishman John Humphrey Danford. Cultural dances by the men and women of the village, tuck into your hearty Fiji buffet "Lovo" Lunch.

What To Expect
Duration of travel from your respective hotel approx. 2.5hrs - 3hrs. After being picked up from your hotel, Experience Fiji's Natural Beauty as you travel from the burning west past Sugarcane farms, resorts, villages, farms to the adventure capital district of Fiji, Pacific Harbor/Navua. A 15 mins coffee & restroom stop along the way before continuing your journey here. Below is approx. time spent on tour itinerary. 45 mins long boat up Navua River to the Magic Waterfall 30 minutes Refreshing Waterfall swim 45 minutes bamboo raft for a smooth 30 minute-ride on the method of transport favored by Fiji's native ancestors. Boat ride to the village. 2 hours Enter a traditional village, with a Fijian Warrior escort. welcome yaqona ceremony. Learn our history & Culture Cultural dances by the Village men & women. Indian origin and brown skin people be aware

1.00Tour guide absolutely hated Indian, brown skinned people. We were treated very poorly. Though the driver, boat man and others were helpful. We won't recommend any person of Indian origin or even with Indian skin color to go for this tour. The tour guide even gave small gifts to white skinned people at the end and we were just ignored. At least happy that we could make it back to our hotel safely. This was definitely a mis-adventure, wastage of money and a whole day lost. The tour guide's hatred is so strong, that he was even cursing a variety of bird, calling them of Indian origin that apparently broke other bird's nests!!!!

5.00A lengthy trip from Denarau but the scenery along the coast is so beautiful it goes by quickly. Our guide/host was fantastic. He was kind, approachable and extremely funny and our kids loved him. He spoke from the heart and he is very passionate about preserving Fijian culture and traditional methods. The cruise up the river was picture perfect. The waterfall swim is definitely cold but you’d regret not doing it! The whole day was absolutely perfect and a good way to squeeze in a lot of sight seeing, culture and local food into the one day. We couldn’t recommend enough!

5.00Did this tour yesterday and what an experience it was. Despite the almost three hours bus ride each way, the tour was well worth it. Our tour guide from the village was Nem and he was excellent. He was so passionate about his history and culture… I think that made the tour all the more special. Once we arrived at the family village, we jumped aboard a long boat and went up the Havua River with its small rapids for quite some way. Then we arrived at this amazing waterfall after a short walk. And even though it did rain, we still all decided to take a swim at the base of the falls. Then our trip back to the village part of the way on a bamboo raft. Once back at the village we were treated to a talk about the food preparation (Lovo?), a cava ceremony and then traditional dancing and singing. And then we were treated to a Fijian lunch prepared by the women of the village - delicious. I chose to have a 15 minute massage before we headed back to my hotel. An absolutely delightful, fun and educational day. The Fijian people who participated in this tour delivery were just beautiful and an absolute joy. The friendliest people on earth… possibly. Strongly recommended but do take appropriate swimwear and shoes to change into. A special thank you to Peter who was our excellent bus driver for the day.

5.00We had an amazing experience with Nem on the Jewel of Fiji tour. We were a small family group of four, and the only booking for the day, which made the tour incredibly personal and intimate. Nem was absolutely hilarious and had a wealth of knowledge about the area, its history, local culture, and life in general. His sense of humor kept everyone engaged, and his insights added so much value to the day. Added adventure was trekking over and around the debris from the storm the previous two nights. Nem and the boys definitely made sure the path was clear and safe to keep walking. Unfortunately we couldn't enjoy the bamboo raft as it had been placed up a tree, upside-down and damaged from the flooding, but as a positive we had more time at the waterfall. Highly recommend this tour — worth every cent and more. Nem...We bloody love ya mate!

5.00So glad we went on this. Always wanted to swim under/near a waterfall. The water was cold but was so worth it! Our guide was absolutely amazing! Loved the experience in the village, I went for the massage and it was worth it. We stayed in denarau so it was a long drive but recommend

5.00Fantastic and professionally run experience. From start to finish a well polished and safe experience for all ages. The boat ride up the river was stunning and full of waterfalls. The quick stop at a mountain village was beautiful and friendly, lunch was delicious and plentiful, waterfall was beautiful, and the tubing was relaxing + fun
