If you’d like to capture the sunset over the Wall’s watchtowers, consider a later start around 11:00 AM. 09:00 AM – Pickup Your private guide collect you from your Beijing hotel lobby . Relax in a comfortable vehicle for the scenic 2‑hour drive to the Jinshanling. 11:00 AM – Arrive at Jinshanling, Guided Wall Hike (Approx. 3 hrs) Begin at the East Gate. Your guide introduces the Wall’s Ming‑Dynasty origins and Jinshanling’s strategic role. Watchtower Exploration: Walk between restored and semi‑ruined towers, with stops at prime photo vantage points. Follow well‑maintained steps and paths—ideal for most fitness levels. Your guide will suggest the best spots for sunrise/sunset‑style shots. Continue along the Wall, soaking in different perspectives of the surrounding valleys and peaks. Optional short detours lead to lesser‑visited ruins. 03:00 PM – Depart Jinshanling 05:00 PM – Hotel drop‑off

His G.Wall knowledge is next level - dropped history facts + secret spots we'd never find on DIY tours. Pro tip: Book him for sunrise/sunset pics - dude's got legit photography skills! The snow-covered scenery was 🤯 (total Insta gold!). Danny knew all the safe paths despite icy conditions - shoutout for keeping our hike 100% slip-free. 5.00Our honeymoon in Beijing with Larry went on the Great Wall Sunset Picnic tour and we were truly surprised! We saw very few tourists the entire time enjoyed "private" time on the wall. Not to mention the sunset views are breathtaking!! Larry is an extremely knowledgeable, funny and helpful tour guide. We can absolutely highly recommend this tour!
