Please note, that pregnant passengers will not be allowed to participate in the hot air ballooning (for safety precautions). Fitness: Participants must be nimble enough to climb in and out of the 1350mm high basket without assistance from anyone else, be able to jump unassisted from a height of 60cm and stand for the duration of the flight; approx. one hour unless stated otherwise.

What To Expect
Sandton
You will be collected from the ‘My Sandton Stop’ station at the corner of 5th Street and Maude Street, Sandton. Collection time is strictly 4am.
Hartbeespoort
You will be transported via luxury SUV to the Bill Harrops Hot Air Balloon Launch site in Hartbeespoort. Dependent on traffic conditions the transfer will take approximately 1 hour.

5.00The early morning pickup was seamless, and the hospitality before and after the scheduled flight time was excellent. While our hot air balloon flight unfortunately couldn’t take off due to a storm, the overall experience was still impressive and handled very professionally. The team remained upbeat and accommodating despite the weather challenges, which made a big difference. Safety was clearly the top priority, and we truly appreciated that the team made the decision not to fly rather than take unnecessary risks. We would absolutely consider trying again on a future visit.

5.00I just lived a dream flying over magalies river valley in a hot air balloon! The views were B-E-A-UTIFUL. Our pilot was knowledgeable, funny and made the experience unforgettable. Sparkling Wine/Mimosa Toast post landing 🥂YES Please. 5/5 Stars- would do it again for sure. A special thanks to Stuart, from the Tourist. He did a pick up and drop off. Communicated very nicely and was responsive. Made it an easy experience.

5.00We cannot thank Stuart and Cole from ‘The Tour ist’ enough. Right from the very beginning we were in safe hands and Stuart did a wonderful job to keep us updated regarding any questions we had. We learnt that the ‘The Tour ist’ is a family owned business which made it even more special as they go above and beyond for you. The experience itself was INCREDIBLE!!! Please please please highly consider booking your tours through ‘The Tour ist’. Hot air balloon had a Beautiful location, coffee and muffins on arrival, champagne and buffet breakfast was perfect. We were transported in modern 4WDR with aircon extremely comfortable. Trust worthy tour guide and prompt pick up and drop off. Special Thank you to Cole from the ‘The Tour ist’ for an unforgettable experience!

5.00Nice, unprecedented experience. Not many animals in December. The first balloon ride was a marvelous feeling. In the cool morning air, the huge sphere slowly inflates and expands, making a gentle rustle. As the burners spewed a fiery flame, we gradually left the ground and the world slowly became smaller underfoot. The wind gently propels us through the fields and villages, and the view over the earth is breathtaking. Occasionally, a slight bump in the airflow adds to the sense of authenticity. When the sun fully rises and the golden sun sprinkles over the basket, the tranquility and magnificence of that moment is unforgettable. Share champagne with your companions after landing to cap off this unique flight experience.

5.00The most beautiful experience, very serious company. The balloon flight was beautiful. I booked for me and my girlfriend and we were lucky to have the little hot air balloon only for us. A breathtaking sunrise show. We want to do so much more that it was good. The breakfast was very good, and the staff very welcoming. Finally, our driver "Cole" was super nice and accommodating. Besides, he's taking great pictures of us. I really recommend it.
