Explore a remote national park less than an hour's drive from the lush resorts of greater Palm Springs. Wonder at the otherworldly plants and rock formations in a unique, and wild desert setting. THIS IS A RUGGED, 4x4 ONLY TRAIL. For those wanting a smoother experience and to see more of the park highlights please consider our Joshua Tree Driving/Van Tour. We don't recommend it for anyone with any back injuries, with any neck injuries, anyone that is pregnant or gets car sick easily. Age limit is 6 years old. This is group tour.
This activity has a 2 person requirement for the tour to run. If you are a single rider, please call first.
NOTICE: EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 2025 ALL JOSHUA TREE TOURS WILL REQUIRE GUESTS TO PAY THEIR OWN $15 ENTRY FEE UPON ENTERING THE PARK. ENTRY FEES WILL NO LONGER BE INCLUDED IN THE BIG WHEEL TOURS PRICING. PLEASE COME PREPARED WITH A FORM OF PAYMENT (CREDIT CARD) TO ACCOMMODATE THIS NEW POLICY. THANK YOU!

5.00Starting from Palm Desert you get a full on 5 hour off-roading experience, but starting from the Joshua Tree visitors center like we did you only get 3 hours and with less "serious" off roading. That said, it was perfect for us as we were more interested in the park itself and Ben was a very knowledgeable and entertaining guide. End of the day, we had fun.

5.00My husband, two teenage daughters and I took this tour with Jeff. From start to finish, he was a great tour guide! He had great energy and a ton of knowledge. We really felt like we got to see parts of the park we would have never on our own. All four of us thought this was a highlight of our trip to Palm Springs.

5.00We really enjoyed the tour of Joshua Tree National Park with our guide, Jeff. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and clearly passionate about the park & the surrounding nature, i.e. rock formations, desert ecosystem, history of the area, etc. But Jeff made it really fun while learning about massive boulders, Joshua trees, and endless desert views that made us feel like we were on Mars! We had plenty of time to explore, take photos, and just soak it all in without feeling rushed.

5.00We decided to do the off road experience VS the traditional tour. We were able to see parts of the park that most people don’t. We are definitely glad we went with this option. Our guide, Will, was very knowledgeable and made the experience even better. Highly recommend.
