Explore a remote national park less than an hour's drive from the lush resorts of greater Palm Springs. Wonder at the otherworldly plants and rock formations in a unique, and wild desert setting. THIS IS A RUGGED, 4x4 ONLY TRAIL. For those wanting a smoother experience and to see more of the park highlights please consider our Joshua Tree Driving/Van Tour. We don't recommend it for anyone with any back injuries, with any neck injuries, anyone that is pregnant or gets car sick easily. Age limit is 6 years old. This is group tour.
This activity has a 2 person requirement for the tour to run. If you are a single rider, please call first.
NOTICE: EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 2025 ALL JOSHUA TREE TOURS WILL REQUIRE GUESTS TO PAY THEIR OWN $15 ENTRY FEE UPON ENTERING THE PARK. ENTRY FEES WILL NO LONGER BE INCLUDED IN THE BIG WHEEL TOURS PRICING. PLEASE COME PREPARED WITH A FORM OF PAYMENT (CREDIT CARD) TO ACCOMMODATE THIS NEW POLICY. THANK YOU!

5.00We decided to do the off road experience VS the traditional tour. We were able to see parts of the park that most people don’t. We are definitely glad we went with this option. Our guide, Will, was very knowledgeable and made the experience even better. Highly recommend.

5.00Fun off-road tour with Gale where we went off the beaten path into Joshua Tree via rocky canyons. Gale pointed out the different species of flora and fauna and gave great narration. Great experience that I highly recommend.

5.00We had an excellent time with our tour guide Jeff Gardner. He has an amazing knowledge of the park and the surrounding area and made us feel right at home as we headed off road. He took us to several areas in the park that we wouldn’t have been able to see if we had just hiked in, which made it an exceptional experience. I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking to see a large amount of the park in a short amount of time.

5.00Ben was an outstanding tour guide! He was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable about various aspects of the park and the surrounding area. The tour was quite scenic and informative, definitely a worthwhile way to spend the afternoon. For anyone who's curious, there wasn't really any hiking involved but we did have a few nice opportunities to get out of the vehicle and walk around for a closer look at some features of the park.

5.00It is about three hours before you hit a bathroom and you are on a very bumpy road. Ben was an amazing guide. He was so knowledgeable and accommodating. We loved it and learned a lot. He also offered drinks and snacks several times.

5.00Great experience in Back Country! Exciting to be where the crowds were not, while driving through the incredible and beautiful terrain! Tour guide was very knowledgeable about the geology and history of the park (and entertaining!) Highly recommend!
