5.00This was the consummate champagne dinner experience. We have travelled extensively and engaged with many Michelin chef lead dining experiences but last night was an absolute tour de force. The night was lead by Lisa O'Doherty, the chief sommelier with 21 years experience in the K Club so we were in exceptional hands. Lisa discussed each champagne with some historical notes and amusing tales beautifully interwoven with just the right level of levity. Each dish was elegantly presented with deft touches throughout and wonderfully tasteful yet deliciously light. Each dish was matched to an array of fine Champagnes all drawn from the house of Laurent Perrier. The star of the night came with the main course of Irish Wild Guinea fowl and was none othe than the LP Grand Siecle. For any champagne lover, this is elegance in a glass personified. Those who have attended either last night or previously will confirm my comments and we are already making provisions in our calendar for next year.
