This was along but great day out. We we're staying in Darwin after our tour of the Red Centre, so decided on a day trip to Kakadu. Our tour guide, Libby arrived at our hotel to pick us up in a full sized bus even though there were only 15 of us. It was a 13.5 hr day but the bus was comfortable and Libby made sure that we had regular toilet/ food stops all day. We really enjoyed our day and especially the river boat cruise. Libby was bright and cheery all day and only too happy to help with anything. Would definitely recommend this day trip even though it's a big day.

Fantastic all day tour with our very knowledgeable and likeable driver Anthony. Fascinating insight into aboriginal culture and the NT landscapes and wildlife. KAKADU Yellow Water cruise was the highlight for us. What a gorgeous place. We saw a large array of beautiful birds and some impressive saltwater crocodiles and buffalo. Great lunch provided on route too. It was a long 14 hour day but totally worth it in a nice air conditioned coach. Highly recommended.

The trip was excellent from start to finish. Our bus driver/guide Jess was very professional, knowledgeable and a great driver. The Yellow Waters tour with Adam was fantastic. Another thoroughly professional and knowledgeable guide. It is a very long day, 6 am until 8 pm, but if you don’t have a lot of days in Darwin and want to see Kakadu then this is the way to do it.

I was one of the unfortunate passengers on the Kakadu tour when the bus air conditioning broke down. There are other reviews that explain what happened, but I would like to follow up those reviews to highlight the pathetic responses provided by AAT Kings once they were made aware of the problem on the day, and also to the emails of complaint they have since received. AAT Kings, via their driver, indicated that there would be a replacement coach that would meet our bus along the way to transfer the passengers - that did not happen and has been conveniently omitted from any future correspondence from the company. In one of their email responses they state that "at no time was the safety of our passengers jeopardised". I would dispute that placing 42 older passengers in a bus with no air conditioning with internal temperatures of 38 degrees for a 4 hour trip would definitely fit the parameters of jeopardising passengers. From AAT Kings responses it seems that the only person who is being made to take the blame is the driver - having spoken with him during the journey it seems pretty clear to me that he was communicating instructions from higher up. The experience completely destroyed our trust in AAT Kings to the point that we chose not to take the Lichfield National Park tour 2 days later that we had booked and paid for as part of our holiday. AAT Kings - never again.
