Discover Kamikochi, a pristine alpine valley at 1,500m. Walk quiet trails, spot wildlife, and enjoy pure air in a protected sanctuary. Travel smoothly with a private guide, with photos gifted after.

❑ A Special Day in Kamikochi

At 1,500m in the Japanese Alps, Kamikochi is one of Japan’s most beautiful valleys. Walk forest paths and cross bridges as you breathe alpine air. You may glimpse monkeys, stoats, or even a rare Japanese serow. With rivers, clean air, and open views, this vehicle-free sanctuary is a serene escape.

❑ Why Private?

Public transport is slow, crowded, and inflexible, since private cars are restricted. With your own car to the entrance and an English-speaking guide to manage transfers, the journey is smooth and tailored to you.

Edwin and Mayumi from Tiny Tours were awesome!! They were engaging and thoughtful and tailored the day well beyond our expectation. We really appreciated the longer hike. They took us off the tourist trail and shared so many interesting details about food, history, language and culture. They also took some great photos and shared some links for restaurants etc that were really helpful. An amazing day. Thankyou 🌺

We had a fantastic time exploring Kamikochi! It was very remote, and Chris really helped us save a lot of time on travelling. Since it was our first visit and we weren’t familiar with the area, he made everything much easier. Highly recommended to anyone visiting!

  • Unforgettable Kamikochi Tour

Chris was an awesome guide for us through Kamikochi. Despite it being a rainy day, he helped us make the best of an unfortunate situation by taking us on a scenic hike, an unforgettable fireside lunch, and a relaxing foot onsen after it was all done. While the rain sadly prevented us from going to the winery, Chris was nevertheless a fantastic and knowledgeable guide for Kamikochi and all things Japan.

This was the perfect tour for us. Chris was incredibly relaxed, kind, and gave us just the right amount of space and time to enjoy each moment. Still, every moment with him felt positive and easygoing. Kamikochi was breathtaking — the mountain views, crystal-clear rivers, and peaceful trails were exactly what we hoped for. We were lucky to catch the last of the snow, which made the scenery even more magical. Having private transport made everything stress-free, and we were able to enjoy the day without worrying about buses or train schedules. We highly recommend this tour. Thank you, Chris!

I’d been in Japan for almost a month, and the language barrier was real—especially in the countryside. Local info is mostly shared in Japanese, so finding things was tough. It wasn’t just about getting to the destination on this tour—I really appreciated having an English-speaking guide who could explain all the “What is this?” moments I’d been wondering about during my trip. It made everything click and gave me a much deeper understanding.
