5.00It was wonderful having Natsuko as our food guide in Kanazawa! She has lived there her whole life and was an excellent historian. She took the time to get to know us beforehand and chose the best restaurant to share local foods. Spending time with Natsuko was a joy - she felt like an old friend! We highly recommend this experience as it allowed us to know the city on a much deeper level.

5.0010/4/2026 my husband and I visited Kanazawa and had a night food tour with our guide Akari. The experience was perfect, she took us to a traditional style Japanese restaurant where the food and and staff was 10/10. Afterwards we finished the night with local beer tasting. My husband and I was so happy with our tour with Akari and requested her for the next day to do a walking tour of Kanazawa. All in all our night food tour was 10/10 and we would recommend it to anyone

5.00What an amazing experience! My wife and I had the pleasure of having Iku guide us around Kanazawa and gave us an incredible introduction to the city. We got to taste some delicious Kanazawa tea and Wagashi before continuing our walking tour of Kanazawa. The highlight of our evening was an incredible dinner at an intimate restaurant. Iku went above and beyond to not only accommodate my wife's and my dietary restrictions, but also making sure we didn't see parts of Kanazawa we were going to see on another tour. The entire time we felt like we had a friend walking through the city with us. Iku was more than a tour guide!

5.00I had a wonderful time with Akari-san on this food tasting tour! She had prepared everything ahead of time, so there were no problems throughout the evening, and she had managed to include a special “night time illumination” event held in the famous Kenrokuen Garden - it was fabulous! Akari was knowledgeable, personable, and made the whole trip to Kanazawa worthwhile!

5.00We greatly enjoyed our food tour in Kanazawa with Iku. She communicated with us frequently prior to the tour, and went above & beyond with extras like printing our hotels shuttle schedule for the train station. She is a Kanazawa native and was able to share extensive cultural and historical insights about Kanazawa. We had specific requests for areas we wanted to explore and she made sure we got to those areas. The food selections weren’t always to our liking, but that is to be expected. At each stop we had choices about what to try and some were tastier than others. She also took many pictures of us which she shared via What’s App and we really appreciated.

5.00Excellent, fun guide! Knowledgeable, helpful, patient, proficient. Would highly recommend. Took us to places we would never have found on our own, explained the local dishes, and answered innumerable questions about local culture. Left us with recommendations for places that fit our interests in the remaining days of our visit here. If you can request Akari as a guide, I believe you will be so pleased.

5.00Akari was an excellent host. She was in touch after making the booking and worked with me to tailor the experience to what I was looking for, in this case local sushi and the seasonal delicacy Crab. She managed to get a booking at a sort out place with little notice. Would highly recommend.
