We booked this tour just a couple of days ago. Turned out we were the only ones so we had a private tour with Ian. Really enjoyed it as we were shown round the geisha area and then went on to a local restaurant. We even saw a group of geishas which is apparently very rare. Ian explained about the training and then how they entertain their customers which was fascinating. The meal was in a lovely authentic Japanese restaurant, where we could sit comfortably while looking as if we were seated on the floor. We cooked the chicken and veg in our own pots, then added rice to finish the broth. This was then followed by a little panacotta. It was all really tasty. A tour we’d recommend.

Walking your of two of the three geisha areas in Kanazawa, followed by a wonderful dinner. Our guide, Saya, was full of information regarding the geisha areas and answered our many questions fully. Not something that we could have ever figured out on our own.

It was relaxing to visit the area at night without the crowds although many shops were closed. We learned much about the geisha and the streets were quiet and peaceful. The guide was relaxed and friendly and took us to a small restaurant that served udon noodles with choice of topping. The hostess at the restaurant was welcoming

On our all encompassing tour of the geisha districts in Kanazawa, Nozomi was able to give us an unforgettable experience. From her depth of knowledge on the history of the Geishas to her ability to answer our questions on the fly, she and Kanazawa tours provided us with a memory we will cherish. If you feel unfulfilled by the end of your journey through history, fear not as one of the best dinners you will ever consume will leave you full of thoughts and noodles. I highly recommend this tour if you are going to be in Kanazawa!

Nice walk through the Geisha district with interesting information and anecdotes about the history as well as everyday life in Japan. Enjoyable and yummy dinner in a nice but not posh restaurant, I definitely recommend this if you want an authentic experience of Japanese dining. Ian was a great tour guide and very helpful with additional information and recommendations. Thank you.
