Explore the vastly undiscovered northeastern region of Nepal on our Kanchenjunga North Base CampTrek. The trail not only offers jaw-dropping views of Kanchenjunga (8586 meters/28,169 feet), but also exposes trekkers to an array of wildlife, culture, and landscapes. Few trekkers brave this remote path where, at its highest point of Kanchenjunga North Base Camp (Pangpema), (5160 meters/16,929 feet), no life exists. Before reaching this extreme terrain, the adventure begins in the subtropical lowlands, characterized by rhododendron forests and peaceful villages. We are greeted with smiles from local Rai, Limbu, and other local ethnic groups. Learning about their lifestyle is, for some, more memorable than the alpine views.
For adventure lovers who want to experience the Himalaya, but want to be away from the crowds of the Everest region, the Kanchenjunga North Base Camp Trek is perfect.

Outline Itinerary of Kanchenjunga North Base Camp Trek. Day 01: Sightseeing in KTM Valley, and night bus to Ilam. ( 9 hr) Day 02: Drive from Ilam to Taplejung, Ranipul (7 hours) and walk 30 min to Sakathum. Day 03: Sakathum to Amjilosa (2490m), 5-6 hr. Day 04: Amjilosa to Gyabla (2730m), 4-5 hr. Day 05: Gyabla to Ghunsa (3410m), 4-5 hr. Day 06:Acclimatization day at Ghunsa. Day 07: Ghunsa to Khambachen (4050m), 5-6 hr. Day 08: Acclimatization day, hike up to Nupchu Pokhari (5 hr) or Jannu viewpoint. 4 hr. Day 09: Khambachen to Lhonak (4780m), 5 hr. Day 10: Lhonak to Kanchenjunga North Base Camp (Pang Pema) (5140m), 3 hr. Day 11: Kanchenjunga North Base Camp to Khambachen, 6-7 hr. Day 12: Khambachen to Ghunsa, 5 hours. Day 13: Ghunsa to Amjilosa, 6 hr. Day 14: Amjilosa to Sakathum 5 hr. Day 15: Drive from Sakathum to Ilam (1120m), 7 hr. Day 16: Drive from Ilam to KTM, 9 hr.

He gave all the necessary information and it was really easy to plan and book the trip with Breeze Adventure. He is really professional with deep knowledge and experience of the Nepal Himalayan trekking trails. We had a great trek to the Kanchenjunga region. Which is the most peaceful and beautiful trekking trail in Nepal. It is really underrated trail. I recommend to all hiking lovers to do this trek before becoming so crowded like Everest and Annapurna trekking trails. Thank you Kishwor and Breeze Team for this amazing lifetime experience.

5.00We did Kanchenjunga North Base Camp Trek March 2023. This trek was so beautiful and wild. I enjoyed every moment of this trek. The local people and their culture were amazing. Breeze Adventure organized our 17 days Kanchenjunga North Base Camp Trek perfectly. Our guide Lakpa and porters Dawa, Mingmar and Tenzing were so friendly and knowledgeable.
