Karlštejn was built in 1348 by Charles IV as a place to store the royal treasure and the crown jewels. In the castle chapel you’ll find the largest portrait gallery of Czech rulers and a replica of the St. Wenceslas crown.

Karlstejn Castle

5.00Our driver Jan was a very good host, he showed us all the sights in the old town and was very knowledgeable. It is worth taking the tour, as you can learn many things and it is very nice to do the tour in the vintage car, as it is a special experience, irrespective if the weather. 5.00Definitely worth the experience, especially during Christmas time when it is colder - we did the 60 mins tour and managed to capture most of the important/tourist landmarks! Driver/tour guide was very friendly and spoke multiple languages - Andy was really helpful as well! Would recommend for family or friends!
