Annapurna Base Camp 7 Days Trek is a quick return trip to Annapurna I (8091 m / 26545 ft), the tenth highest mountain in the world above sea level. The base camp falls inside Annapurna Sanctuary, a high glacial basin lying 40 km directly north of Pokhara. The package is tailored for thrill seeking adventurers with a short span of time. The tour begins with a pick up from your hotel/apartment in Kathmandu. Travelers then take a scenic bus ride to Birethanti via Pokhara. Birethanti is the start point of your trek.

What To Expect

Day 1

Travel to Birethanti via Pokhara (Min Altitude: 1025 m / 3363 ft)

Pokhara

The trip begins with a pickup from your hotel in Kathmandu. We will then escort you to the tourist bus park for your journey to Pokhara. The bus ride will be a comfortable scenic drive via Prithvi Highway.

After your arrival in Pokhara, the travelers will then get aboard a car for another short drive towards Birethanti. Birethanti marks as the start point of your trek.

Day 2

Trek to Ghandruk (Max Altitude: 1950 m / 6398 ft)

Ghandruk

The second day of your trip begins with a 4-5 hour trek from Birethanti to Ghandruk. Ghandruk is a traditional Gurung village most famous for its culture and hospitality. It is also known for its spectacular view of mountains including Mt. Fishtail & Mt. Himchuli. A guest house in Ghandruk will then be your halt for the night.

Day 3

Trek to Sinuwa (Max Altitude: 2340 m / 7677 ft)

Day 3 begins with a 7-8 hours trek towards the beautiful village of Sinuwa via Chomrong. Chomrong is a modern Gurung village. The village provides you with an insight of the traditional Gurung cultures and their hospitality. During your journey, you will be passing through various scenic trails, waterfalls & spectacular views of the surrounding mountains. You will then be staying at a guest house in Sinuwa for your night halt.

Day 4

Trek from Sinuwa to Deurali (Max Altitude: 3230 m / 10597 ft)

On day four you will be taking a 6-7 hours hike from Sinuwa to Deurali via Himalaya, a small settlement with tea houses. Today you will be yet again passing through a dense forest while exploring many waterfalls on the way. A Deurali Guest House will then be your halt for the night.

Day 5

Trek from Deurali to Annapurna Base Camp (Max Altitude: 4130 m / 13549 ft)

Annapurna Base Camp

On day five you will be arriving at your destination, the ‘Annapurna Base Camp (ABC)’ via Machhapuchhre Base Camp (MBC). On your journey you will be passing through MBC valley, an experience like never before. The journey from Deurali to ABC takes you 5-6 hours. A Tea House at Annapurna Base Camp will be your halt for the night. The place is famous for its mesmerizing view of the Annapurna Mountain Range with an amazing view of the sunset towards west.

Day 6

Trek to Bamboo / Sinuwa (Min Altitude: 2340 m / 7677 ft)

Accommodations

Overnight at a mountain guest house.

On day six, you will be witnessing a spectacular view of sunrise and a delicious breakfast in the early morning. You will then be trekking down towards Bamboo / Sinuwa via Deurali, Himalaya and Dobhan. A guest house in Bamboo / Sinuwa will be your halt for the night.

Day 7

Trek to Simrung and drive back to Pokhara (Min Altitude: 830 m / 2723 ft)

Pokhara

On day seven, you will be hiking down towards Simrung via Jhinu Danda (5-6 hours). Jhinu Danda is most famous for its natural hot spring bath. You will then take a two hour drive back to Pokhara. In the evening you will be celebrating the successful completion of your trip to Annapurna Base Camp. Here you will be also bidding a farewell to your trekking crew.
