Truly unique guided kayaking tour on the beautiful Lake Brienz. Fit for explorers of all skill levels, this outing features the towering cliffs, forested hillsides, and calm waters that make Interlaken one of the most picturesque settings around.

The session lasts 3 hours of which we spent around 2 hours on the water.

What’s included: experienced sea kayak coach, small group sizes (from 2-6), top quality sea kayaks and paddles, as well as a digital photo package.

Check-in is 5 minutes prior to the booked tour start time.

Children 11 and younger are not allowed.

You do not need previous kayaking experience, but you must be able to handle a kayak on your own.

If you have back, neck, lower back, joint or muscular problems, you should carefully consider whether or not to participate.

You should bring swimsuit, change of clothes, waterproof footwear, sunglasses, sun hat, sunscreen, a bottle of water, and snacks.

What To Expect

Our half day tours run regularly throughout the summer months and are suitable for all abilities. Our tours start in Bönigen on Lake Brienz where we travel across the River Lütschine, heading towards the north shore, exploring beautiful cliffs, the 12th century Ringgenberg castle and hidden beaches along the way. Your guide will offer instruction on how to develop your paddling skills and will also capture your experience with lots of photos to show to your friends and family back home. Evening Tours: The evening is a special time of the day where the lake calms down again and the sun starts to set. There's always a special calming atmosphere in the evening, perfect for photos and a relaxing way to end the day. The evening tour follows the same itinerary as the half day tour above. The session lasts 3 hours, of which we spend around 2 hours on the water. Our summer tours run from May until October. When the water temperature gets colder we start our winter tours (with drysuits) in October/November. If the dates or times you require are not available, please get in touch and we can see if they would be possible.

This kayak tour was beautiful! Sona was a wonderful guide, and the opportunity to kayak over Lake Brienz was stunning. We have only kayaked a handful of times previously and felt like this was doable for beginners. The company supplies wet suits and raincoats, but we recommend bringing a change of dry clothes for after just in case!

I really enjoyed everything about this tour. Our guide, Ryan, was very clear in the instructions that he provided to make sure we all had an enjoyable and safe morning of kayaking on the lake. We were provided wetsuits, life jackets, an a locker to place our things. Sunscreen and shades were available for a small cost. The views on Lake Brienz were majestic. Seeing the clouds pass between the mountains was unreal. The waters were calm and we kayaked about 3 miles in about two hours. The tour was very easy to do for the other beginners who never kayaked before. I had some experience, so I had no issues. You can easily hop on a bus to get to shop in the morning. A bus arrived every 15 minutes. All in all, I recommend everyone who visits Interlaken to take this tour.

We had a fantastic time on the 3-hour kayak tour! The lake was absolutely beautiful—such a peaceful and scenic spot to paddle. Our guide, Ryan, was excellent. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and did a great job explaining all the logistics and setup, making the entire process smooth and stress-free. Felt completely comfortable on the water. If you're looking for a relaxing, outdoor experience, I recommend giving them a try. You won't be disappointed!

My son and I really enjoyed our kayaking tour with Joelle on lake Breinz. Joelle was so friendly and attentive to all of us . She picked fun games to do while paddling and even shared cookies with us! It was and relaxing and the lake is so gorgeous to paddle on!

Kayaking with High Tide Kayak in Interlaken, Switzerland was the highlight of our trip, and our guide Jolene made it unforgettable! We booked the high tide kayak tour, and it was the perfect mix of adventure, relaxation, and incredible scenery on the lake surrounded by the Swiss Alps. From the start, Jolene made us feel comfortable and confident on the water. She shared local insights, pointed out hidden spots along the shoreline, and kept the group safe while making sure we were having fun. Her energy and knowledge really made the kayaking tour stand out. The views of the mountains, crystal-clear water, and peaceful atmosphere were absolutely breathtaking—you can’t get the same perspective anywhere else in Interlaken. An amazing experience! Worth every penny! We had great fun with Michael who was very knowledgeable about the area, was so lovely yo everyone. We played games in the water with balls, he gave us biscuits while we were on the water. The lake itself is unbelievable colour, it’s also nice to kayak around the cliffs. All equipment is provided! Highly recommend!

We had an amazing time during our tour with Michal. He was super friendly, attentive and a master in kayaking to make everyone around him feel safe. He also gave us a recommendation of a dinner spot nearby that we went to afterwards and loved. Definitely a must do excursion in Interlaken with the best staff! Thank you again!

Joline explained everything to us great and we could enjoy it great! It was mega fun and has equipment was complete. We will certainly do this again. I recommend to every water rat who loves nature.
