I went alone, so I was paired up with one of the guides. The weather wasn't great, but the guides were very patient with trying to spot dolphins and sea turtles for us. We met another group from another tour who did not get to see the dolphins, but we eventually did. Very happy with the tour!

What a fab experience! My partner and I struggled a bit with the kayak as we were both novices and so the instructors got us to switch Kayaks to go with them. They did this seamlessly and without making a fuss, reassuring us and being kind in the process. We were lucky enough to spot dolphins and so it was well worth doing. Thanks all for the great experience and support 😊

My wife, daughter and I went for an ocean kayak experience as part of our first visit to Australia. This experience was arranged by our travel agent. We had some previous kayaking experience such as this around Vancouver Island (but prior kayaking experience is not a prerequisite for this activity). Our check-in was very smooth, and our belongings were safely and securely stored away while the thirty-odd of us suited and helmeted-up. We were part of a morning kayak, out on the water from 7AM to 9-ish in the morning. There were five guides escorting our group, and our thirteen year old was paired with one of the guides (thank you Jess!). The experience was amazing, with excellent and knowledgable guides. We were able to get within 50 feet of a whale, and then spend an extended amount of time following a pod of dolphins, navigating into positions that left us within tens of feet of their travel path. The guides had our group respectfully positioned and actioned relative to the wildlife. One of the guides took photos of the group with a waterproof camera, which were then posted on CBK's Facebook page. This was greatly appreciated, as we did not bring a waterproof camera with us on our holiday. HIGHLY recommend CBK if you are looking for an ocean kayaking experience in Byron.

Overall ok trip. We had people show up late which put us behind to start the tour. There were some very inexperienced kayakers that also made the trip more difficult- we did not paddle very far and had to stay in a tight group of “bumper kayaks” for basically the whole trip. We did get to see some dolphins! Would be better if trip was for more experienced kayakers since in the open water and the waves. The wind was strong this day as well.

A great few hours on the sea! We were unfortunately the rare few that didn’t manage to see anything but would still recommend!
