What To Expect
Zhinvali Water Reservoir
At 9:00am I will pick you up at your hotel in Tbilisi. The route will take over the Georgian Military Highway up North towards the border with Russia. Your first stop will be at Ananuri complex a former residence of Argveti Dukes. Complex featuring churches and towers dating back to the XVI-XVII cc. is beautifully overlooking Jinvali reservoir. Continue our drive to see the conjunction of two small mountain rivers famous for the fact that being different in color they still keep their own colors even after merge. We will then drive over the Cross pass and make a short stop at Soviet time “People’s Friendship” mountain view point overlooking a deep gorge of Caucasus mountain range. In Kazbegi , we will continue the way to Gergeti Holy Trinity Church located on altitude of 2170 m, and enjoy breathtaking views of glacier Kazbegi. after walking you will be hungry, so we can visit Rooms hotels restaurant, which is an amazing spot in kazbegi. back to Tbilisi.

5.00If you want a truly personalized experience, book this trip. Our family enjoyed this experience so much. Our guide Nico was fantastic. He picked us up at our front door right on time and continued to deliver throughout the trip. Every stop he took the time to explain what we were seeing and why it was important. But then, he just let us do whatever we want without feeling pressured or hurried. He was very patient and kind. We even asked to go somewhere not on the tour and he happily obliged. It was the best day trip I've experienced in all my years of traveling.

5.00The day was amazing! My tour guide was Sasho, and he even arrived before the scheduled time. He coordinated everything with me a day in advance, and he was very knowledgeable. Throughout the whole trip, he explained everything clearly and was incredibly friendly and pleasant.

5.00From start to finish, this was a wonderful trip. Avto, the guide and driver, was extremely knowledgeable about all the locations and provided a lot of information in great English. Additionally, he was flexible and gave me the chance to make adjustments to the trip which allowed me to take part in other activities along the way (I recommend the zip line near Mount Kazbegi!). He was also patient with me and was happy to wait/stop the car so that I could take particular photos. Most importantly, Avto was incredibly friendly and he made the day so much more fun with excellent conversation between destinations. I really cannot recommend this day trip enough and, especially if you have the chance to do it with Avto, you really will have an experience that will live long in the memory!
