We absolutely loved our "Beauty Spots" tour with our guide Taylor.. she was very informative, helpful, kind and calm the whole day and kept us happy and safe to enjoy the sights on this amazing island. We felt the bus was comfortable and safe, the lunch buffet was yummy and good value, and the time at each spot was well managed (although of course we wanted to stay longer at every stop because it was so beautiful!). Would definitely recommend and want to go again! 10/10

Had a great day on Kgari with tour guide Pete. His enthusiasm and knowledge of the island and its history were fantastic. As a solo traveller without a car this was a perfect way to see the island. It was great to see the diversity of flora and fauna. Amazing experience, thank you.

What a special experience for our family at a truly magical place. There is just something different about K’gari, you can feel the energy of the island the moment you arrive. It’s hard to put into words, but the whole day felt incredibly grounding, beautiful and memorable. I honestly can’t imagine a one day tour being done better than this. Explorer Tours has set the bar incredibly high, and so much of that came down to our guide, Keith. He was the complete package, fun, warm, inclusive, knowledgeable, and genuinely attentive to every single person on the tour. Somehow, he made it feel like our own personal tour. My 4-year-old truly believed Keith was speaking directly to him the whole day, which says everything about the way he connects with people. What stood out most was the respect and care Keith showed when sharing the history and culture of the Butchulla people. You could tell this wasn’t just rehearsed information, it was something he had taken the time to genuinely learn and understand because he recognised how important it is. As a non-Indigenous guide, he spoke with such sincerity and respect, and that really meant a lot to us. Keith was endlessly kind to our family all day long. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and despite what must be an exhausting job, he never once appeared rushed, tired, or anything less than fully present. Every stop was incredible, but Wanggoolba Creek was something truly special. The feeling there was sacred, calm, powerful and deeply moving. We also could have spent far longer at Eli Creek, both places were impossible to leave. Thank you to Explorer Tours and especially Keith for giving our family a day we will genuinely never forget.

We had an amazing tour of K’Gari thanks to (Pirate) Pete. He was the best tour guide we’ve ever come across - so knowledgeable and funny despite the tricky tour group and conditions. We learned so much and Pete really went above and beyond to accommodate everyone’s requests and questions all day. Thanks so much!

The trip was really well organised. The tour guide Keith was friendly, enthusiastic, knowledgeable and really made the trip special. The island itself was breathtaking with a particular highlight being swimming on the stunning beaches of Lake McKenzie.

Our 1-day K’gari tour was absolutely fantastic! The island itself was breathtaking, but what truly made the experience unforgettable was our guide, Keith. His passion for K’gari, combined with his deep knowledge of the island’s history, culture, and natural beauty, brought every stop to life. 10/10!!

Amazing day trip, saw a dolphin, 6 dingos, heaps of different birds, a python, fish in the creeks and some cool strange bugs. Our tour guide Keith was an absolute legend! Told us so much interesting info in a real fun way. You could tell he loves his job.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the 1 day tour at K’gari island. The guide Keith was a lot of fun, knowledgeable and he gave us a day to remember. Great to hear about the history of K’gari and to learn about the special ecosystem of the sand island which allows a dense rainforest to thrive and grow. Loved the sights. The flight over the island was amazing.
