Recommended for guests to bring their own front-facing infant seats. Limited child seats are available at an additional charge on request.
Please note we do not carry children under the age of 1 and no refund will be given.
Please note that Queensland law requires all guests travelling on our coaches to wear seat belts at all times, failure to do so could result in a Queensland Government fine.
This tour has separate departure locations depending on whether you are staying in Hervey Bay or Rainbow Beach. Please make sure you book the correct departure location. If you are staying in Hervey Bay, select pick up from Buccaneer Drive. If you are staying in Rainbow Beach, select pick up from Rainbow Beach Road.
The commencement of hotel pickups is approximately 2 hours prior to the departure time of the tour, you must make telephone contact with the local service provider to book the pickup and verify the exactness of your pickup time, this must be done at least 48hrs prior to the departure.

Steven A5.0Sep 2024Fantastic tour recommend to everyone. Butch was our guide and anything he leaves out isn't worth knowing. We saw whales, dingoes and amazing scenery. Lunch was super. Ferry ride picturesque.We had a great day! Would recommend to anyone over the age of 10 and under the age of 70.
Jade V5.0Sep 2024A brilliant experience, we had the best day with K’gari Explorer Tours visiting all of the main attractions on the island. Our firm fave was Lake McKenzie, what an amazingly beautiful place! K’gari is just incredible, and exploring it on a 4x4 bus was a lot of fun… bumpyyyy but fun!!! Our guide Grant was so lovely, taking everything in his stride including our bus breaking down at the very end, he called for a new bus to pick us up and we were back at the Ferry only 30 mins late! Great day, really enjoyed it. Food at the pub was a bit meh and for a 9 hour tour I wish we’d had better communication about being allowed to bring snacks as we had assumed we couldn’t eat on the bus but you can! So take snacks!!! And lots of sunscreen!!! And seasickness tablets beforehand if you’re prone to motion sickness coz it’s a very bumpy ride! Wouldn’t recommend for small kids, they’ll get bored, and older people with any mobility issues will miss seeing things due to needing to be able to walk a bit.Interesting and informative

He had some much information about the history, culture and nature of K’Gari Island, and he was a laugh! Highly recommend the tour, you cover all of the main points of the island with good time at each stop. Lunch buffet also has good variety of options to cater to everyone.
