Your accommodation will require a credit card pre-authorisation of AU$100 per day plus AU$200 refundable bond to a maximum of AU$500. In the event that no credit card is available, full payment and a bond deposit of AU$100 per day to a maximum of AU$500 is required.
Recommended for guests to bring their own front-facing infant seats. Limited child seats are available at an additional charge on request.
Please note we do not carry children under the age of 1 and no refund will be given.
Please note that Queensland law requires all guests travelling on our coaches to wear seat belts at all times, failure to do so could result in a Queensland Government fine.
This tour has separate departure locations depending on whether you are staying in Hervey Bay or Rainbow Beach. Please make sure you book the correct departure location. If you are staying in Hervey Bay, select pick up from Buccaneer Drive. If you are staying in Rainbow Beach, select pick up from Rainbow Beach Road.
The commencement of hotel pickups is approximately 2 hours prior to the departure time of the tour, you must make telephone contact with the local service provider to book the pickup and verify the exactness of your pickup time, this must be done at least 48hrs prior to the departure.

Maheno Ship Wreck
Learn the intriguing history of this once proud passenger liner that was washed ashore in 1935 during an out-of-season cyclone. While you’re at it, take the chance to stretch your legs and take a holiday snap with this rusting wreck.

5.00Really exciting and a learning experience , the cost was worth the drive alone. I would never have driven there. Taylah was an exceptional driver. As a truck driver I appreciate her skills. Her knowledge of the island was even better than I expected. If there was a down side it was the food at buffet.

5.00We had a wonderful 3 day getaway on K’Gari. The island is stunning and the variety of lakes, sights and places we visited was amazing! Our coach driver and guide, Pete,was very knowledgeable about the history of the Butchella people and the island’s fauna and flora. He was friendly and amiable.

5.00Incredible 2 day tour of K’gari, our group of 20 was friendly and our guide Keith exceptional! Funny and so interesting to listen to! We saw so many sites on the island with enough time at each spot to relax and enjoy. The wild bus drive through the sandy tracks and on the beach was fun! The room at the resort was perfect, we paid for a shared room but got our own room. The food was delicious with lots of choice at the buffets and on the menu. I highly recommend joining the 2 day tour, experience of a lifetime!

5.00We thoroughly enjoyed the tour. After arriving at the Kingfisher Resort on the first day, it was great to be able to relax by the pool for a day. The facility is very clean and everyone found the ambience and service very good. The rooms are solid and met expectations. The next morning we were picked up at the resort and taken to the meeting point for the tour. The island is really extremely diverse and beautiful. Super friendly and experienced tour guide Andrew Smith not only showed us all the relevant sights, but also explained them well with expertise and fun anecdotes. We could admire lizards, dingoes and even a green sea turtle. In the evening we went to the K‘Gari Beach Resort. Here we had actually expected little after the partly not so good reviews, but were very positively surprised by the service, the rooms and food. The dinner was absolutely fine, the service top and the breakfast very good. French toast, honeycomb, Poached Eggs with Hollandaise etc. Wow, we didn't expect this and was mega delicious, especially in such a secluded 3* hotel with moderate price level. Today we went first to Lake Wabby (about 40 min hiking) and then via Central Station to Lake McKenzie where we were allowed to enjoy this great lake extensively after a sandwich lunch for about 2.5 hours. All in all a great trip and highly recommended. As so often, however, it is the people who make the difference and Andrew in particular was a highlight and the best guide & driver we could have wished for.

5.00The tour was very well planned from pickup directly at the navy via ferry to the resort (food and accommodation). Our guide was Keith, he made it very entertaining for everyone. He explained everything to us so that it wouldn't be boring. On the second day, it was also tried to get the most out of the time and still give enough time to let everything take effect and enjoy. The two days were full of special impressions and memories for me and if I should be around again I would book this tour again.

5.00Had the most lovely experience exploring everything that Fraser Island has to give! The resort was beautiful, food, facilities and staff all were amazing! But the biggest shout out had to go to our guide Keith!! He was the best guide ever; so knowledgeable, funny and kind - Keith you are a LEGEND!!

5.00We got picked up in a lovely coach for our day trip. The ferry ride was great, beautiful scenery and saw some dolphins. On arrival our guide Blair introduced himself and gave a great summary of what we would be doing. Into the 4WD bus and Blair’s commentary was on point. Not too loud, not to much and spot on with the history of the island. Great swim at Lake McKenzie. Awesome dives to rain forest area with Blair giving great background. The scenic flight was incredible. The whole day was fantastic. I couldn’t recommend this experience enough. Thanks Blair.

5.00We did the 4 day 3 night kgari explorer tour. Keith our guide was brilliant on the full two days exploring all that Kgari has to offer. After our first night at kingfisher bay resort we drove in an air conditioned coach across the sand tracks of the island to kgari beach resort where we had lunch. We drove down 75 mile beach where we went to champagne pools, maheno wreck and Eli creek on our first day. Keith was extremely knowledgable and had a real passion for kgari. He also had an amazing knack of pulling up to a place and having it all to ourselves for most of the time. He also had a great playlist of Aussie tunes. We saw at least 6 dingoes some with pups as its breeding season. Day 2 was an early morning trip out to Lake Mackenzie where once again we had the pristine waters to ourselves. Then off to Wanggoolba creek where crystal clear water meandered through the world’s only subtropical rainforest on sand. Just beautiful. Then back down 75 mile beach where we parked up and walked the 4.8km return trip to lake Wabby where Keith did it again and we had the place all to ourselves. Going down the huge sand hill to swim at Lake Wabby is fun but the walk back up the enormous dune ensured we got our 10000 steps in for the day. A delicious lunch and a relaxing drive back to kingfisher bay resort for the night finished off a wonderful experience. O

5.00This was an awesome experience! Keith could not do enough for us, he went above and beyond to give us the best time! So knowlegable, friendly and wanting the most out of every activity. He timed everything perfectly, made sure we captured the best spots at the best times and I really loved his energy, passion and love for Fraser! Keith made this and I will certainly be returning!!
