My friends and I did a 2 day, pack-free hiking tour of the Lake McKensie Central hiking area. We had a fabulous trip from start to finish. The scenery and bush walking was spectacular and the camping was very comfortable. The team of Ash and Jane made this a great experience. We were given very clear, detailed guidelines for hiking and the island in general. The camping food was downright gourmet and Ash and Jane thought of every detail. The camping equipment was excellent and our stay at Central Station was very comfortable and quiet. The vegetation and bird life was exotic and varied and piqued our curiosity about this unique, special place. Despite it being school holidays, we did not encounter many people on the trails. The lakes were extremely beautiful and inviting and we enjoyed cooling swims during our days of walking. The hiking was not strenuous and Ash accomodated our needs us with care above and beyond the call of duty. Ash and Jane were genrous with information, answered our many questions and operate a very safe, well-oiled, experienced business. I highly recommend this tour and this company.
