My wife and I booked this excursion through Get Your Guide. Nvard from Central Tours was our guide for the day and we felt at ease from the start to the end of the tour which ran like clockwork. Nvard met us in the reception of our hotel and greeted us with a warm smile and put us at ease straight away after we apologised for being 5 minutes late. What impressed me the most was Nvards clear and genuine passion, enthusiasm and love for history and politics and how knowledgeable she was. She was incredibly open to any conversation and made the tour very engaging. She has perfect English and we were surprised to learn she was self thought. Our experience in travelling has taught us this is not always the case and makes such a difference with regards to a guide understanding the questions and being capable to answer well and comprehend the different nuances. I must say I personally do feel embarrassed that I only speak English so my comment is not to demean other guides who are trying to deliver in a language that is not their native tongue. Nvards ability to bring the history to life made all the difference and enhanced our experience. On top of all this we learned that Nvard has, in her words, “very long hands”, meaning her network of connections stretches beyond the borders of Armenia and also beyond the tourism sector. Upon learning of our misfortune of having our football clubs flag stolen by some ultras the previous evening at an international football match, she immediately went to work and within 30 minutes had tracked its whereabouts. Most guides would have simply said “oh that’s awful” or something to that efffect but Nvards nature to help us and take care of us was something that was very much appreciated and had a very positive impression for us. She has kept in contact after our tour and been helpful with suggesting other guides etc in neighbouring countries. We would have no hesitation in recommending her as a guide and should we return to the region again will be sure to book another tour!

I had an amazing day visiting Khor Virap and Noravank finishing with wine tasting in Areni. Nvard was very knowledgeable, spoke excellent English and was a great guide for the trip. The car arrived on time, the drive was scenic once outside Yerevan and the car was comfortable. The two monasteries were stunning especially Noravank. I was lucky with the weather to have great views of Mount Ararat. The visit to the winery was very good with a selection of 5 wines to try. Overall a really great day. Thank you Nvard!

I could not be happier with the tour today and with the amazing guide Karine - she is so friendly, knowledgeable and full of energy. We visited places of extraordinary beauty and enjoyed a wine tasting as well. The lunch was the cherry on top of the cake, in a very beautiful venue. We spent a high quality tour, in the hands of our careful driver Tigran as well. THANK YOU! Excellent agency, organization qnd punctuality 😃
