Meet your guide at 7:30 am at Puerto Baquerizo and get ready for 2-hour navigation towards your Kicker Rick Galapagos snorkeling adventure. The day tour will have two visiting sites:
Kicker Rock
The first one will be the underwater of the Kicker Rock lava formations. This is one of the most outstanding snorkeling sites in the Galapagos. On the surface, you may catch sight of some of the many birds inhabiting the towers emerging from the ocean floor. You can spot Nazca boobies, blue-footed boobies, frigatebirds, and tropicbirds. Be ready to swim alongside the most iconic Galapagos wildlife. Hammerheads, sea turtles, Galapagos sharks inhabit the area. The walls are connected below the surface through a 60ft deep channel running between them.

Viator cancelled our snorkeling trip to Kicker Rock in the Galapagos Islands LESS THAN 24 HOURS before departure. There was no reason given. Thus, we were unable to re-book and missed out on the highlight of our trip. We had paid on March 10, 2024 full amount, received confirmation and tickets for our trip on March 12 at 7:30 am , the same day. On March 11 at 10:34 am while we were out sightseeing we received an email letting us know the trip for the next day was cancelled. We we unable to rebook with another agency on such short notice. My advice is to book with a reputable company, and ask in advance what their policy is if they decide to cancel at the last minute. Viator has the right not to pay a refund if you cancel within 24 hours, yet they will not compensate you for your loss of the trip and other expenses you incur as a result, if they decide for any reason to cancel within 24 hours. We will never use them again, and hope other people use our story as a caution before before booking with Viator.

We went on a joint scuba and snorkeling tour with wreck bay. It was such a great trip, saw sharks, green sea turtles, tropical reef fish in huge numbers, it was very awe inspiring. Had a nice lunch on the boat. Also saw an assortment of sea birds nesting on the rocks. A couple of notes: the water is a little chilly in july, even with a half wetsuit on. The ride can be bumpy, so take a motion sickness pill if rocky rides affect you.
