What To Expect
Fiji’s first kids-only tourist activity, KIDS CODE CAMP. This innovative STEM-based activity showcases Fiji as a choice for fun educational tourism and provides other diversified kids experiences aside from ‘Sun, Sand and Sea’. The program is a 1-day camp that runs daily each weekday from 9.00am to 3.30pm for kids 6-16 years. The programs provide a fun learning environment designed and created to ensure kids from all backgrounds, abilities, and ages have the opportunity to learn the skills for the jobs of the future while making lasting friendships through teamwork, cultural experiences and game-based activities. At KIDS CODE CAMP, kids learn computer programming that they will use in designing and coding their own Games, Apps, and Websites with other STEM-related activities. For the younger kids, the activities are super fun, hands-on, and active. There’s plenty one can learn about coding without even touching a computer! The program uses a combination of ‘offline activities’ and computing device learning.

5.00My daughter Cathena was lucky enough to join the code camps, where she learnt what coding was and how to create basic code for games and computer programmes. It was such a WOW experience that she is now HOOKED! The whole camp is so comprehensive with amazing facilitators who make the learning experience EXCITING & FUN. A definite 5STAR experience which I would recommend to anyone and everyone...

5.00Ana(Gerards mum) For my 11 year old son Gerard, enrolling into the Quantum Space Kids Code Camps was a great way to get him into learning about computers and coding. This was something totally new for him but he enjoyed Kids Code Camp. The Kids Code camp helped Gerard learn to problem-solve. Also a better understanding of computers and learning the basics helped Gerard to develop an appreciation of how things work. It also taught him social skills in terms of interacting with students from other schools and backgrounds. As a parent I wanted Gerard to become more computer literate and learn about coding as a potential career path and other opportunities in computing later on in life; and this also provided a host of soft skills and benefits. For Gerard – “I learnt how games were made starting from the very beginning. The Kids Code camp helped me to meet other students from schools around Nadi even though I attend Marist Primary in Suva. I made a lot of friends while attending the camp. It helped me to work in a team with other students and work on my own to build games and have fun. I would give this a 5-star or excellent. Looking forward to more Kids Code Camps soon. Vinaka."
