Along the way, you will learn about the mountain’s fascinating fauna, flora, history, geology, and hiking lore: what animals and plants exist only on the mountain, how the mountain came to be, and much more. We strive to provide a safe, educational, and fun experience aimed at getting to know both the mountain and each other.

The hike is entirely in the “tropical mountain rainforest” zone. You walk on paths through the lush green and river streams.

We had a wonderful hike on the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro with Brian. The route was quite easy and enjoyable, making it perfect for a relaxed day out in nature while visiting the Amboseli region. Brian took us through the streets of Oloitoktok, across green fields and lush forests, to a beautiful waterfall, and along paths with breathtaking views of Kilimanjaro. It was the perfect blend of nature and stunning scenery — ideal for a half-day adventure and picnic with friends.

Had the most incredible hiking experience with Brian. He’s an incredibly patient guide with a tremendous amount of knowledge and stories about the area, which enhanced the experience. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with him again and explore different tours in Amboseli. Our hike was a highlight of our time in Kenya.

Amazing hike through Kilimanjaro stream and forest trails in Oloitokitok, Brian was our guide, he was friendly, Had vast historical knowledge to share with us and most importantly, you knew he really enjoyed his job. All of our stops were very, very interesting. The trails were fabulous. The service we received at all of our stops was excellent. I cannot say enough on how highly we recommend this tour. If you’re going to go to Amboseli and want to take a day tour, This one is for you.

We decided to skip the traditional safari on our second day in Amboseli and opted for a family-friendly hike with Brian from Amboseli Trails. It was one of the best decisions we made during our entire trip! Brian is a fantastic guide, sharing insightful information about the local flora, culture, cuisine, and politics in a calm and engaging manner. The hike was a perfect balance of physical activity and cultural immersion. The trail itself was beautiful, offering stunning views of Kilimanjaro. We were pleasantly surprised to find delicious wild berries and enjoyed a refreshing cup of Tanzanian tea along the way. Our hiking adventure along the streams of Kilimanjaro on the Kenyan side was nothing short of magical. The trails were enveloped in lush greenery, with a refreshing breeze that invigorated our spirits. We marveled at the stunning views of the mountain, which provided a breathtaking backdrop. Birdwatching was a highlight, as we spotted the vibrant African paradise flycatcher and the beautiful golden weaver among many other species.
