Everything you need is provided. You can optionally buy a jar beforehand to save the kimchi, but I found I ate my fill during the class. Not only was it great to use high quality ingredients in an authentic location, but it was also enjoyable to meet other people and bond through cooking.

It was one of the best things I did in Seoul! You learned to talk a lot and the lady from the house was so nice. I think the guide was called Daniel a very open and talkative guide. Mega entertained us. Would I book again

I booked a kimchi cooking class in Bukchon Hanok Village, and it was a fantastic way to immerse myself in Korean culture. The setting itself, a private hanok courtyard, was incredibly charming and created a really special atmosphere. It felt like stepping back in time. Sam was warm and welcoming, making the experience both educational and enjoyable. He walked us through the process of making napa cabbage kimchi, explaining the importance of each ingredient and technique. While we didn't do the full 12-hour salting process, Sam provided a very thorough explanation of it, which was helpful. What really stood out was learning how to make kimchi pancakes with aged kimchi. I've had kimchi before, but the pancakes were a revelation!!! The sourness of the aged kimchi added a unique depth of flavor that was absolutely delicious. It's a recipe I'm definitely going to try at home. The class was well-paced and informative, and Sam was happy to answer all our questions. It was clear Sam was passionate about sharing their knowledge of kimchi. The experience was more than just a cooking class; it was a cultural experience that I'll remember for a long time!
