  I went to Kiruna to see the northern lights and I booked this company because it is known to drive however far is necessary to get you that opportunity. I needed that persistence because the entire time I was in Kiruna it was overcast!! I went out the first night and we drove for 1:45min east to get to clear skies and they found us a great lake bed with a beautiful view of the Milky Way. Unfortunately, the northern lights did not shine that night. The next night I joined them again and this time we drove over 2 hours south till we finally found some clear skies and my goodness did the lights put on a show!! It was amazing. We stayed out watching the lights till about 0030 before we started heading back! A lot of other companies had set times that they ended tours or set distance they would travel, not this one. If you are looking for a company that will go above and beyond to get you a chance to see the lights look no further! And, their photos were amazing? I had my camera but it was also nice to know someone else was taking pictures too and I could just be present in the moment and not have to worry about the photos!

  I can not recommend this tour enough. I had planned to propose under the northern lights, and Merce went above and beyond to make that happen. On a night that was pretty overcast and cloudy, she drove for hours to find us one of the only wide open spots in the area. The photos were amazing and the team really cares about what they do, making the moment all that much more special. They gave us a night that we will never forget.

  Seeing the Northern Lights had been my dream for many years ✨, and in the last couple of months I was searching for a tour that could truly help make it come true. I’m so happy I chose Light of The Vikings - they went above and beyond to make sure we had the best possible chance to see the Aurora. The weather was challenging (rain, snow, wind, fog - everything!), but the team kept driving to different locations to find clear skies. Their dedication was incredible. And in the end - my dream came true 💚 Not only did we see the Northern Lights, but we also captured amazing photos and even witnessed the Aurora dancing in the sky. It was absolutely magical. A huge thank you to our tour guides, Merce & Onur, they were fantastic! We did the tour for two days in a row, and both nights we were lucky enough to see the lights. The second tour was especially unforgettable - we drove a very long way, almost from Kiruna to the Finnish border, and once again witnessed breathtaking beauty. Also, a special thank you for the delicious lingonberry drinks and tasty cookies 🍪, such a lovely touch! Highly recommended experience - truly unforgettable! 😍😍😍😍😍

  We had an absolutely excellent experience with Lights of Vikings on their Northern Lights tour. We booked just two days in advance and were incredibly lucky to see the aurora on both nights — something that felt even more special given the challenging weather conditions. On the first night, despite snow and rain, our guide Merce went above and beyond — driving all the way to Abisko and changing locations multiple times until we found clear skies. She also took amazing photos for us, which made the experience even more memorable. On the second night, the weather was no easier, with heavy cloud cover, but our guide Onur was determined not to give up. He drove for about three hours in different directions, constantly searching for clear skies, and his persistence paid off when we finally witnessed a beautiful aurora display. Throughout the tour, he kept the group positive, engaged, and well-informed, explaining in detail both the science behind the phenomenon and the best conditions to see it. Both guides were incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely committed to making sure we had the best possible experience. We truly appreciated their effort, energy, and passion. Highly recommend Lights of Vikings if you want a Northern Lights experience where the guides will do everything possible to help you see the aurora — even when conditions are tough.

  We had the absolute privilege of joining The Lights of Vikings tour on March 22 in Abisko and March 23 in Kiruna, and it turned out to be one of the most unforgettable experiences of our lives. What truly sets this tour apart is the dedication and expertise of the guides. They didn’t just take us to a fixed spot and hope for the best, they actively chased the Northern Lights, driving far into remote areas to find the clearest skies and strongest activity. You can really feel their passion and commitment to making sure every guest has the best possible chance to witness this natural wonder. Both nights, we were rewarded with stunning displays of the Aurora. Seeing the sky come alive with dancing green lights is something words simply can’t do justice. Beyond the lights themselves, the entire experience was exceptionally well organized. The guides were friendly, knowledgeable, and created a warm, welcoming atmosphere despite the cold Arctic conditions.   We had an amazing experience on our Northern Lights tour. Everything was very well organized, and the pick up was perfectly on time, which we really appreciated in the cold weather. Iris and Bernard were absolutely wonderful, both incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly very experienced. They made us feel comfortable the entire time and shared fascinating insights about the Northern Lights and the region. We also truly appreciated their transparency and kindness in informing us about the low chances of visibility hours in advance. Even with challenging conditions, they made a great effort to find clear skies and make the experience happen, which we found very commendable. The atmosphere was a highlight with a cozy campfire that made the night even more special. The professional photos they took were absolutely beautiful and such a great memory of the experience. We highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a truly magical Northern Lights experience!

  We had a truly unique experience with Lights of Vikings. Their excellent service, punctuality, and friendliness are their hallmarks. The explanations were fantastic, and 5 hours was the perfect amount of time to see the most beautiful Northern Lights in the world: a dream come true! 100% recommended. Don't hesitate to book their tours; you won't regret it. We want to give a special mention to our guide, Mercè. She was incredibly kind, empathetic, and friendly, and she helped us immensely.
