Highly flexible private tour with an exceptional guide

5.00We booked a private day tour of Kolkata and were very pleased with the experience. The main advantage of this tour was the ability to customize the itinerary completely. Since we weren't tied to a rigid schedule, we could choose the sights we wanted to see and adjust the timing and route throughout the day with the driver and guide. The absolute highlight of our trip was our guide, Anirben. His knowledge of Kolkata is incredibly detailed; he provided us with extensive background information and historical context that we wouldn't have discovered on our own. It was a very pleasant experience as he was able to answer all our questions in great depth. It is important to note that the quality of such a tour depends heavily on the individual guide assigned to you. We felt very lucky to have Anirben, as his expertise made the day truly special. While we cannot speak for other guides, our experience with him was excellent. If you are looking for a tailored experience that goes beyond the surface of the city's history, this is a great option—especially if you are matched with a guide as knowledgeable as Anirben.

5.00We had a great day sightseeing during our stopover in Kolkata. Communication from the office was excellent right from the time of booking to plan what we would like to do and logistics, and we were contacted a day or so in advance by our guide Bratati to confirm all the details. We were met from our international flight by a driver who looked after our luggage in the car before dropping us at our hotel at the end of the day. Bratati tailored the tour to our interests and was able to budget how much cash we would need for the day and exchange money for us in the car for the dollars we were travelling with and at a reasonable rate for the small amount we changed. $50 was sufficient for the day for entrance charges, a coffee break, dinner and enough left for a taxi to the airport the next morning. She took us to a traditional Bengali restaurant and ordered for us before saying goodbye while the driver waited for us. All in all a great day and a stress free way to see the city in a limited amount of time

5.00I had an amazing experience Today on Kolkata sightseeing, and I can’t recommend them enough. Bratati shah was my guide, who is both the manager and my guide, gave me a full private tour of Kolkata that exceeded all expectations. Bratati adapted the tour to my choices We saw the main sights, the highlight was of course the flower markets too. Thanks to entire team we learned so much about the variety of culture and rich history of Kolkata.

5.00Excellent time with Nemei who explained everything about the history, architecture and culture of Kolkata extremely well. Tailored the experience to my specifics - I highlighted that Kali Ghat and Dakshineshwar were the two mandatory places and these were adhered to. Overall: I highly recommend this tour.

5.00As someone who had a day to spend solo, I wanted to explore but didn’t feel comfortable going alone. I booked this tour in the morning for a 12pm start time and it was wonderful. Pick up was on time, guide was incredibly knowledgeable and took great care of me. I felt safe and looked after the entire time. Highly recommend for a day in Kolkata.

5.00This has been a wonderful experience. We toured different neighborhoods, learned about Kolkata history, religion, ways of living and the wonderful people's disposition. We visited a temple (Belur-Math), the statue-making area of Hatkhola, St John's church, and Dalhousie Square with several colonial buildings. We walked through different areas in Kolkata getting a real taste of the city, such as with a glimpse to the Hooghly river and the Indian Coffee House. Sayak has a deep knowledge and will take you where you did not expect in many ways. Highly recommended.

5.00The driver picked me up exactly at the designated spot—no issues at all locating me, and everything went smoothly from the start. The tour guide was absolutely wonderful: incredibly knowledgeable, kind, funny, and positive. She made the experience feel less like a formal tour and more like spending the day with a friend. We visited every place I wanted to see, and she truly went above and beyond to exceed my expectations.
