Swimming with magical giants as they dance and float right in front of your eyes is a truly magical Kona experience!
Our night manta ray snorkel tours begin departing at 6 p.m. and run until 10 p.m. and last about an hour.
Important note:
-Participants must be experienced swimmers and in good health in order to participate.
-Must have basic snorkeling experience.
-Weight Policy: Anyone 260 and over (not to exceed 320) is required to purchase an additional seat.

All participants must be experienced swimmers and have snorkel experience. Children must be 5 and over to board the boat. Due to the type of boat we operate (RHIB) we are unable to allow service animals on board.

What To Expect
If there are no sightings, we do not offer refunds, but we do offer a FREE RERIDE. *If you are purchasing a "NOT SNORKELING" ticket, please be advised that there is no guarantee of seeing manta rays from the boat. With check-in time, boat travel, and water time: Total time is around 1.2 hours. (25-30 of that is water time). We operate a smaller boat; a 23 foot RHIB (Zodiac style) boat and take 11 passengers. Tour duration from departure to return is about 50 minutes in length, which includes 25-30 minutes of water time. Important note: -Participants must be experienced swimmers and in good health in order to participate. -Must have basic snorkeling experience. -Casual Use Life Jackets are not provided unless 13 years of age and under. -Weight Policy: Anyone 260 and over (not to exceed 320) is required to purchase an additional seat. -Wetsuits are optional and available to rent at check-in. -Please do not bring valuables as we do not have an office and you will need to keep your belongings in your own vehicle. -Tour times are subject to change. -Ocean conditions can change without notice; choppy ocean conditions may occur.

Duration: 55 minutes: 3-5 minute boat ride; 25-30 minutes of water time. Our GUARANTEE means that if there are no rays you can come back again!

5.00What an incredible experience! Even better than I imagined. Kekoa, Peyton and Tako were the crew that took care of us and they were amazing! They were great to make us feel at ease and to explain things. The manta rays were beautiful and graceful. I didn't expect to see so many and that close up. I absolutely loved it and would definitely recommend My Kona Adventures!

5.00This was a once in a lifetime experience. Some of my family was a little apprehensive about swimming at night, but the guides and the area eased that appreciation. Our guide Peyton was so informative and helpful about the manta rays. The manta rays were absolutely beautiful and the whole experience was like no other. We all fell in love with the manta rays, and my daughter even says this is her new dream job. 10/10 recommend even if you are scared. This is an opportunity you cannot pass up!

5.00We had a wonderful time, saw many manta ray’s! Stunning, beautiful! Staff were helpful and friendly, I was a little nervous, they were patient and gave options to help me out!! The staff gave a little Hawaiian history of the area, which was very interesting! Excellent trip!

5.00We had an absolutely incredible experience snorkeling with manta rays with Kona Adventures. It was truly one of the highlights of our trip. We saw 11 manta rays, and watching these beautiful, gentle creatures glide right beneath us was unforgettable. The crew was fantastic from start to finish—professional, friendly, and clearly passionate about what they do. Jenny was in the water with us, guiding the group and making sure everyone felt comfortable and safe while also helping us spot the mantas up close. The whole team created such a calm and exciting atmosphere. Everything was well organized and the crew made sure everyone had an amazing experience. If you’re visiting Kona, this is a must-do activity. Seeing the manta rays at night is magical, and Kona Adventures made it truly special

5.00We went on the 9:50 pm manta ray tour and it was spectacular! We saw multiple mantas, they were very active bumping our legs and arms the entire time. It was our first trip to the Big Island. This is definitely a MUST tour. Our guides - Koa and crew were absolutely fantastic! See you next year!
