Swimming with magical giants as they dance and float right in front of your eyes is a truly magical Kona experience!
Our night manta ray snorkel tours begin departing at 6 p.m. and run until 10 p.m. and last about an hour.
Important note:
-Participants must be experienced swimmers and in good health in order to participate.
-Must have basic snorkeling experience.
-Weight Policy: Anyone 260 and over (not to exceed 320) is required to purchase an additional seat.

All participants must be experienced swimmers and have snorkel experience. Children must be 5 and over to board the boat. Due to the type of boat we operate (RHIB) we are unable to allow service animals on board.

What To Expect
If there are no sightings, we do not offer refunds, but we do offer a FREE RERIDE. *If you are purchasing a "NOT SNORKELING" ticket, please be advised that there is no guarantee of seeing manta rays from the boat. With check-in time, boat travel, and water time: Total time is around 1.2 hours. (25-30 of that is water time). We operate a smaller boat; a 23 foot RHIB (Zodiac style) boat and take 11 passengers. Tour duration from departure to return is about 50 minutes in length, which includes 25-30 minutes of water time. Important note: -Participants must be experienced swimmers and in good health in order to participate. -Must have basic snorkeling experience. -Casual Use Life Jackets are not provided unless 13 years of age and under. -Weight Policy: Anyone 260 and over (not to exceed 320) is required to purchase an additional seat. -Wetsuits are optional and available to rent at check-in. -Please do not bring valuables as we do not have an office and you will need to keep your belongings in your own vehicle. -Tour times are subject to change. -Ocean conditions can change without notice; choppy ocean conditions may occur.

5.00We had the most incredible trip and saw so many manta rays! They come right up to you, and can saw them entire time we were in the water! The tour guides were great!! I am pretty sure their names were Jenny, Koa and Jason. Jenny was in the water with us and told us all about the manta rays swimming beneath and next to us! You could hear her as we watched the manta rays. She also gave us a ton of manta ray facts in general. I want to go back and do this again at least 10 more times!!

5.00It was amazing! Our group had the most fantastic time ever. The guides, koa Jenni are just awesome. We did not expect that the manta rays would be so huge and would swim so close to us. We even got touched by few of them. This is just a must do experience when visiting the big island in Hawaii.

5.00We took the small group manta ray snorkelling trip and what an experience it was! Whilst we all were a little nervous about being in the sea at dark, the professionalism and quiet confidence of our crew was very settling and we soon felt confident enough to get out of the boat and, using the pool noodle, swim the couple of strokes to the crew member, Jacob, who was waiting for us with the ‘raft’. Each having a rail to hold onto around the raft, Jacob ‘pulled’ us to an area a short way from the rib and the raft was lit from underneath and we had only a minute or two waiting before the magnificent manta rays appeared. We were not prepared for how many we would see, or how precisely they swam around us. They came up right in front of our faces, it was truly amazing. We must have seen 30-40 rays. An incredible experience, the best of our Hawaii vacation. The crew, Mike, Max and Jacob were friendly and knowledgeable, and we certainly felt safe with them. The short ride by rib from our land meeting place was perfect as none of us wanted a long boat ride to the manta ray snorkelling site. Parking our car right near the checking in place was ideal, meaning a short walk from there to the dock to get on the rib. Able to leave possessions on shore was good and a dry box on the rib for car keys etc was again ideal. All in all a very easy, professional set up for an unforgettable experience. We would do it again and definitely will be recommending my kona adventures and this experience to our friends.

5.00Wow wow WOW! I expected something pretty phenomenal based on all the reviews but this experience was other worldly! I am blown away by seeing these gentle giants, in the wild, THIS up close. My children- ages 14 and 11- absolutely loved it too. I am so glad we were brave and made this memory together.

5.00We had a great time on this activity. Taco was our guide and Danny was our captain. We saw a ton of manta rays and they were super close to us. Boat ride was short and comfortable. The water was a bit chilly but we got used to it. Everything was good.
