Swimming with magical giants as they dance and float right in front of your eyes is a truly magical Kona experience!
Our night manta ray snorkel tours begin departing at 6 p.m. and run until 10 p.m. and last about an hour.
Important note:
-Participants must be experienced swimmers and in good health in order to participate.
-Must have basic snorkeling experience.
-Weight Policy: Anyone 260 and over (not to exceed 320) is required to purchase an additional seat.

All participants must be experienced swimmers and have snorkel experience. Children must be 5 and over to board the boat. Due to the type of boat we operate (RHIB) we are unable to allow service animals on board.

What To Expect
If there are no sightings, we do not offer refunds, but we do offer a FREE RERIDE. *If you are purchasing a "NOT SNORKELING" ticket, please be advised that there is no guarantee of seeing manta rays from the boat. With check-in time, boat travel, and water time: Total time is around 1.2 hours. (25-30 of that is water time). We operate a smaller boat; a 23 foot RHIB (Zodiac style) boat and take 11 passengers. Tour duration from departure to return is about 50 minutes in length, which includes 25-30 minutes of water time. Important note: -Participants must be experienced swimmers and in good health in order to participate. -Must have basic snorkeling experience. -Casual Use Life Jackets are not provided unless 13 years of age and under. -Weight Policy: Anyone 260 and over (not to exceed 320) is required to purchase an additional seat. -Wetsuits are optional and available to rent at check-in. -Please do not bring valuables as we do not have an office and you will need to keep your belongings in your own vehicle. -Tour times are subject to change. -Ocean conditions can change without notice; choppy ocean conditions may occur.

5.00The manta ray night snorkel was one of the best wildlife encounter adventures I’ve ever had! We saw 10 different mantas and they came so close it made many of us shout with delight even in snorkel gear! Taco, Rocky and Fisher were fantastic guides, made us feel completely relaxed in the water and did an amazing job piloting us right to where the mantas were feeding such that within seconds of getting in the water we were surrounded by the mantas. It was a truly magical experience and I highly recommend booking with this tour operator!

5.00Our Kona night snorkel with manta rays was hands-down one of the most magical things I’ve ever done. From start to finish, everything was seamless—finding the check-in spot was easy, the process was smooth, and the whole adventure felt well-organized and safe. A huge shoutout to Koa, Max, and Taco—they were incredible. So knowledgeable, funny, and genuinely made everyone feel comfortable. Night snorkeling in the ocean can sound intimidating, but they kept the mood light and reassuring the entire time. And the manta rays… wow. We were lucky enough to see two beautiful mantas, including one named Jana who danced for us the entire time. It felt surreal. Truly an incredible experience that I’ll never forget. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Kona!

5.00We chose My Kona Adventures for our nighttime manta ray snorkel for our first time and loved it so much we booked again! They were accommodating of weight restrictions that other companies are not accommodating about, and we simply wouldn’t change a thing! Great vibes, felt safe, had an experience of a lifetime, and didn’t break the bank. What else can you ask for?

5.00This was such a cool adventure! The mantas were enormous and put on quite a show swimming up to chow on their plankton dinner. Our guides Taco, Fisher, and Captain Rocky were awesome. Tip is that the meet up spot is not well marked- need to meet up at the pop up tent at the entrance of the driveway. Great company, great tour.

5.00Would recommend this as a must-do for anyone visiting the big island! We didn’t see any the first night we went due to the recent storms. We were able to reschedule and saw the most incredible manta rays. Swam so close they touched us! Our 10 yo loved it 🩵 Thanks again Jenny!

5.00This was such a cool experience — highly recommend to all who are traveling to Kona. Our kids are 11, 16 and 18; they all loved it. It’s a short boat ride off the dock and we saw a ton of manta rays. Knowledgeable and friendly staff.
