This tour is a mix of walking in the countryside and a morning routine in a little Mediterranean town.
We will enjoy the views of Korčula from east and west and walk in nature where scents and sounds tell the story of an island named after its forests. On our route we will stop at a few places hidden from the usual tourist paths and you'll hear about local culture, history and customs. In fact, you 'll be one of 1% percent of visitors who will have seen some of them.
A short visit to the fish and green market will give you a better idea about what we locals eat.
Towards the end of the tour, we will buy a few home- made traditional cookies and have a cup of coffee at my favorite café. Having time to enjoy a cup of coffee with friends every day is a privilege of life in a small town. And I love meeting new people, so I am looking for a chance to have a cup of coffee and a little chat. At the end, you will be ready for the day ahead, energised and relaxed.
Welcome to Korčula :-)
Service animals allowed
Public transportation options are available nearby
Not recommended for travelers with poor cardiovascular health
Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
Please do not book the tour if you can't walk the stairs or walk on uneven surfaces. The major part of the tour is on the dirt road or footpath, so please keep that on mind when booking. To get to one of the hills around Korčula we'll need to climb the street with comfortable stairs (locals use them every day) and it can be demanding for those with moderate or serious heart or mobility conditions. The tour is really not demanding. However, guests with modest or serious heart or mobility conditions should not book it. Please email me if you are in doubt. I will be happy to advise you.
For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.
We'll have an espresso or cup of tea at my favorite cafe
You'll taste a delicious traditional cookie of your choice from the famous local home made cookies shop

Sasha was a gracious tour guide, sharing history along with personal anecdotes from his own life. Having grown up on the island, he took us to see sights we would have never found. We had a lovely stop in a bakery and enjoyed several local treats and stopped for coffee to enjoy them. The only drawback to our tour was that we had to end it too soon when we had to get back for check out on time. We couldn’t have had a more relaxed or enjoyable morning start!

The early morning walk above Korcula was a pleasant way to spend time. Sasa our guide was a wealth of knowledge about Korcula as it was his hometown. We had coffee and sweets after the tour and spent the next hour talking with him about our lives, and his and left feeling like we had known him forever. Thank you for a great morning. Sasha took us on a hike through the park above Korčula Town and brought us to beautiful over looks of the town and harbor. There was an old fort at the top and many beautiful hiking trails we would never have discovered on our own. It was great spending time with a local who told us what it was like growing up and living in Korčula, and learning about the history of the island through conversation. At the end, we got incredibly tasty pastries and coffee and chatted a while longer near the marina. Would definitely recommend for a unique and personal experience of the island.
