The Third Tunnel The Third Tunnel, discovered in 1978, is one of several tunnels that North Korea allegedly built to infiltrate South Korea. This particular tunnel is approximately 1.7 kilometers long and lies about 73 meters underground. It is believed that the tunnel was intended for military purposes, allowing North Korean troops to invade the South. Visitors can take guided tours to explore a section of the tunnel and learn about its history and significance. Dora Observatory Dora Observatory, located on Mount Dora, offers a panoramic view of North Korea. It is one of the closest points to the North Korean border accessible to the public. The history described to us was very informative! Mr. Bean took great care of our family and we felt that he did a great job of driving, arranging the tour bus and finding us a place to eat. We are grateful we went and would highly recommend others to go as well.
