  Had a great time. Took my 15 year old son who had a blast. The caves and swimming location was packed with boats but it was still fun to jump in and I felt safe. Because of the smaller boats it also felt more like a private tour which was nice.

  Our trip was canceled by the port inspector due to overloading the boats, after we were already loaded on the boats waiting to leave. The tour states groups will be no larger than 8-10, but each boat was loading up 12. This was disappointing because we got there over an hour early and were the first family there for our 12:00 time. If they had loaded our family in the order of arrival our boat would have been able to leave. This was also frustrating as we were on a cruise ship, our time was limited and it was not possible to book another tour with another company. I would recommend you book this tour direct with your cruise ship - due to tender times, and due to possibility of the BS boat inspector guy showing up to ruin everyone’s day. A refund was issued with no questions asked and is pending.

  We waited at the dock for over 30 mins and then had to get off the boat and told the tour was canceled. Our boat and another boat in this company had the boat inspector out there and canceled. While other boats on this tour got to go. While we did get refunded (still pending) this completely ruined our day as we were only in Montenegro for a half day. Very disappointing, no real explanation from the tour operator (captain of boat).

  It is not as described. They tell you to get there a half an hour early to organize the groups because they have like 70 people divided among six or seven boats. Then you stand around for a half an hour waiting to be told your group in which boat to go to. We didn’t leave until about 9:15 and then we’re done by 11:45. So, the three hour tour was really only 2.5 hours. They’ve completely changed the itinerary this year without informing anyone. You do not stop or even pass by the lady of the rocks, instead stopping at Perast. That is a cool city, but it is not what is described. They say that they will tell you unforgettable stories about the submarine tunnels, and the former prison turned to luxury Hotel, but all our guide said was this was where submarines went in World War II, and this used to be a prison, now it’s a hotel. No stories, nothing interesting. The driver was on his cell phone the entire time while driving the boat and seemingly trying to hit every wave and make the ride as rough as possible, while all the other boats seemed to be avoiding them and having fun.

  Hawaii Boat Tours in Kotor is a MUST DO! Our driver Dragie was awesome. He told us the history of this beautiful coastal city and took us on a fantastic speed ride with great music. This was a tour I booked outside of our cruise and I am so glad I did. They are very good at managing the cruise passengers so that we get to the right meeting point and get back to ship with plenty of time. They communicated from start to finish and it was cost effective for our family of 5. We absolutely loved Kotor and this tour was one of those you never forget! Thank you!

  

  

  

  

  

  

• Skipped Our Lady of the Rocks

  The boats going out to Blue Cave are a very short walk from the cruise pier. It was easy to find. We were taken out in a group of 7. Although it was cold, the boat ride was very enjoyable. Submarine tunnels was fascinating, Blue Cave was impressive. No one in our group went for a swim. The only ones swimming were doing so outside of Blue Cave. The tour description is misleading. It says we visit Our Lady of the Rocks. Other boats stopped there but ours did not. We were given no explanation.

  We booked the Kotor Blue Cave tour specifically around our cruise stop, and like many cruise passengers, we were dependent on the ship’s tender system to get ashore. Unfortunately, the tenders were running late that morning, and we arrived around 9:15 for a 9:00 tour departure. Instead of showing even the slightest flexibility or understanding, the owner/staff immediately told us there was “nothing they could do,” no refund, no credit, no later departure option — absolutely nothing. If you operate tours in a cruise port, you KNOW cruise tenders can be delayed. This is not some rare or unpredictable event. Building your business around cruise passengers while refusing to accommodate common tender delays feels unreasonable and honestly comes across as a money grab. The most frustrating part is that we notified them as soon as we knew there was an issue, yet they acted like customer service didn’t matter at all once they had our money. No attempt to help, no compromise, no partial refund, no standby option for another boat. Just “too bad.” Based on our experience, I would strongly caution cruise passengers before booking with this operator unless you’re willing to risk losing your entire payment because your ship’s tender system runs late by a few minutes.

  The tour was very scenic and beautiful. However, communicating with the tour operator was a challenge. We moved our tour to a day before we were supposed to have the tour and there was a mixup in communication between what tour we were supposed to be on and what tour we were on. We tried to contact the tour operator and the tour manager tried to contact the tour operator to try and reconcile, but they were not receiving communication.
