You will visit typical Montenegrin family, engage with our interesting lady host, and prepare local food that you can not find in restaurants nearby. It is experience for all your senses. You will see most beautiful Old town, hear local and family stories, enjoy cooking and food as at your friends house. At the end of the day you will feel rewarded and you will take great memories with you :)

What To Expect
As you meet up with our guide, you will be introduced to the charming world of Boka bay and Kotor. You will hear interesting stories about Montenegro, local maritime style of life while passing through the cozy streets of this unique town. And now its time for cooking in local home, only few minutes away from the old town. You will immediately be charmed by the warm welcome of our lovely and humorous lady host. Have a laugh while tasting the local wine, brandy or homemade juice and you will feel like you are the part of the family. But don’t get to comfortable, there is lunch to be made by you, as you will cook together with your host. You will have a chance to prepare 1 or 2 dishes characteristic for the area of Bay of Kotor and have lunch made of starter, main course and desert. You will learn the local recipes, that you can later prepare for your family and friends back home. After everything is done, you will all sit together on the terrace have another drink or two, and feast on enjoyable meal.

5.00This is a tour you really should take. Our guide was Novak. I can’t say enough good things about him. Patient (our water shuttle was late), funny, knowledgeable, and ready to answer all our questions. After a walking tour of Old Town (don’t miss the cats 🤣) we went to Susanna’s house for our cooking class and lunch. She was hilarious! We had so much fun and learned to cook brodet (a fish soup) and gibanica (phyllo and cheese and egg pie). Over coffee, wine, and good food it felt like we made new friends with her and Novak. These are the kinds of tours we love. Cannot recommend both of them highly enough!!

5.00Our tour guide Milena was wonderful. Great sense of humor. Great language skills. Great knowledge of Kotor and Montenegro. Helped us find some local art that we were interested in. The cooking class was also wonderful. The host Suzanna was warm, fun, and a great instructor. Loved the food we selected to make: fish stew, fig and cheese pie, and eggplant casserole. Relaxing. Delicious. Great experience.

5.00We did the Old Town walking tour with George and then the cooking class with Suzanna. Overall, the experience was amazing. George did a great job of sharing the history of the city and pointing out various landmarks. Suzanna was extremely welcoming and made us feel right at home. She taught us how to make local dishes like eggplant parm and the food was delicious. After doing a lot of the "touristy" things in Montenegro, it was so refreshing to meet some local people and spend time learning about their culture. They were extremely friendly and we would recommend this activity to anyone who visits Montenegro!

Everyone took part in the food preparation and enjoyed eating their creations. We look forward to receiving the emailed recipes. 5.00Djordje was a super knowledgeable and flexible tour guide, catering the tour to what we wanted to learn and do. The cooking class with Susanna was even better! You get to select your menu from a long list of options. We got to spend the afternoon in her home, learning about, cooking, and enjoying local cuisine. We felt like old friends by the time we left! We'll be looking for tours like this in every country we visit from now on!

5.00What an incredible experience! I recently joined a cooking class hosted by Suzana from our tour guide Geogre, and I can’t recommend it enough. The personal touch of cooking in a local home made the entire experience feel authentic and special. The class began with a warm welcome from our host, who guided us every step of the way. I loved being able to choose my dishes from the menu—everything from the starter to the dessert was absolutely delicious! The hands-on approach allowed us to truly learn and engage with the ingredients, and I walked away with new skills I can’t wait to use at home. Enjoying the meal we prepared together, paired with an included drink, was the cherry on top. The atmosphere was friendly and relaxed, and I appreciated being able to order additional drinks to enjoy with our meal afterwards. The team was very attentive, and they were open to requests regarding transfers and guides in different languages. This flexibility ensured that every aspect of our experience was tailored to our needs. If you’re looking for a unique culinary adventure while learning about local culture, this cooking class is a must-do! 5.00Dasun was a wonderful guide. Friendly and knowledgeable. Meet up was a breeze and then we toured the beautiful old town. He as able to provide a ton of interesting information but not so much that we were bored. Then to the lovely home of Susana. The hospitality was outstanding. She welcomed us into her home like family. She then guided us in creating a delicious feast. The food was traditional and things that we had not had before. Everything was amazing and plentiful. We were allowed to be a part of a traditional Montenegrin dinner and it is something we will not soon forget.

5.00We had such a wonderful time with Filip and Suzana. We first met with Filip and had a great walking tour. He’s very knowledgeable, friendly and funny. Then we had a great time making stuffed mushrooms and gnocchi on Suzana’s patio. Suzana was great and we learned so much. We had such a wonderful experience and highly recommend to anyone visiting Kotor.
If you want to truly experience Montenegro, this is the place to be, and there's amazing food as well.

5.00Book this experience if you can swing it, even during short cruise ship land visits. You'll gain a richer experience than you expect. The food is amazing, but that's not even the best part of the experience. Here, people come to enjoy a meal together as if they are visiting an old friend. If you're worried about it being awkward, rest assured it won't be. Instead, you'll meet an amazing woman with an even more amazing talent for cooking. You'll also enjoy local stand-up comedy and have access to an incredibly affordable therapist. What better way to make new friends and deepen existing relationships? Thank you, Suze, for feeding us!
