Martvili Canyon
This wonderful place is located in the Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti region, Georgia. The small city of Martvili is just half an hour away from Kutaisi. Martvili district is truly one of the gorgeous places in Georgia – combining a unique natural environment. You will be shocked by brilliant scenery, sensational waterfalls, and a boat trip in the river with deep green color. You can take a boat with a boatman, and he will take you on an unforgettable journey in the canyon. The walls of the canyons are covered with moss. Martvili Canyon is a fantastic place to adventure with family, friends, and co-workers.
Prometheus Cave
Kumistavi owes a famous legend about Amirani for the sonorous naming of the “Cave of Prometheus.” The legend says that Amirani, like Prometheus, angered the Gods and was punished brutally. The eagle tormented him, eating his liver; however, unlike the Greek giant, cruel Gods were chained. Amirani, not to the rock, but inside a massive cave. Khvamli Mountain is visible from Prometheus Cave, where the legend says Prometheus was chained. Spectacular views of stalactites, stalagmites, petrified waterfalls, underground rivers, and cave lakes. The cave has colorful lights, ranging from orange-red to pink and blue.

While arriving at the location takes quite a while from Tbilisi, it is definitely worth it. The Prometheus is well-organised and lit for visitors. It is impressive by its size and geological formations. The lighting system creates a mysterious atmosphere. The Kutaisi Canyons create a lovely yet peaceful experience. It is perfect for those who want to enjoy nature, yet remain active. The boat ride adds to the magic of the place and, although it was not mandatory, we would say it is a must if you really want to enjoy this trip to the fullest. One anyway needs to wear good shoes as the terrain is uneven and may be slippery at times too.

This was quite frankly a disaster. It was snowing heavily and it is very clear for me that before we departed the company (btf group) already knew that we would not be able to carry out most part of the promised activities (Prometheus cave. boat, Zipline etc). They chose to be dishonest and did not cancel nor tell us anything and kept payment to themselves. They let us do a 6 hours drive, btw dangerous with all the snow, and let the poor guide tell us the news after the drive!! I am not rating this with 0 stars only because the guide Nika was truly amazing. This guy is wonderful and professional... Unfortunately regarding the tour operator we got to see their true colours..

We had a wonderful Kutaisi Canyons and Caves Full Day Tour from Tbilisi, and our experience was made truly special by our guide Nika. We were travelling with our young son, and Nika was extremely considerate, patient, and supportive throughout the journey. He made sure that we experienced everything included in the tour, from the breathtaking canyons and caves to the boat ride, without rushing us at any point. He was especially attentive to our child’s comfort and safety, which gave us great peace of mind as parents. Nika also helped us with local food recommendations and arrangements, ensuring we enjoyed authentic and delicious meals during the trip. His knowledge, friendly nature, and positive attitude made the long day enjoyable and well-paced. We highly recommend this tour and strongly recommend Nika as a guide, especially for families travelling with children. It was a memorable and well-organised experience from start to finish.

Very beautiful place, beautiful with great nature awesome waterfalls and wonderful boat trip. Admission for two costs GEL 90 along with a boat trip there is a Zepp Line but it is slightly higher (GEL 45) Very enjoyed the place small and reasonably caloric, in no case do not fall for the persuasion of people offering you tours outside expensive and about nothing.

The tour is good. The Promethius cave is a 1,4km long really very beautiful underground way with some light show. The canoeing in the canyon is beautiful, but lasts only 10min (including the return). The canyone itself is also beautiful, but you can only see it from above. Don't expect any canyoning or sport activity. It is just a walk in the park. And the restaurant was good, delicious food and a beautiful surrounding. Tango was an amazing guide, not only did he tell us all the details, he also engaged with everybody to talk about every questions we had and he gave valuable insights. All in all I would recommend such a tour if you are in the area. Going there from Tbilisi (Tiflis) is actually a very very long drive for what you get to see in the end and I wouldn't recommend doing it from there. But this has nothing to do with the great job Tango did. He was always funny and informative. He saved this tour from receiving an even lower rating.
