Aimi and her team were super patient with us as we navigated the process of shaving, sanding, and finishing our very own customized chopsticks to perfection! Lots of fun for couples or groups looking for some reprieve away from all the walking and sightseeing of the area. Highly recommended!

We had not planned to make chopsticks in Kyoto. But we had a bit of time before a reservation and were in Arashiyama — I saw this “studio” in Google Maps and so we decided to give it a try. This was a really fun stop — a nice activity for everyone and now home with a special souvenir. The team were patient and helpful while sharing interesting stories. Very pleased we added this to our day!

Great for more personal souvenirs; they take plenty of time to explain and show everything in English and assist when needed. They also take time for a small exchange. Overall, a great workshop; I would absolutely recommend it.

I had an amazing time at the chopstick studio. I was very nervous because I’ve never done anything like this before, the staff Riko was so friendly and explained everything so well. I felt so relaxed and really enjoyed my time. Riko English was really good and I hope to come again with my friends.

This class was absolutely amazing! Making my own chopsticks was such a unique and memorable experience, and the instructor made it even better. They were incredibly kind, patient, and encouraging the entire time. I struggled with parts of the process, but they took the time to help me step by step and made me feel completely comfortable. I can’t recommend this class enough. It’s fun, hands-on, and you leave with an incredible handmade souvenir that’s actually meaningful. One of the highlights of my trip, I’d recommend it to everyone!
