During the IKEBANA workshop, you'll create your own masterpiece, guided by our instructors. Your artwork will be displayed in a tokonoma (alcove) in a traditional Japanese room and you can take a photo.
We also offer a service to deliver your artwork to your hotel,so you can enjoy own IKEBANA experience during your stay. After you checkout,we will pick it up
Our style is based on classical IKEBANA forms and focuses on bringing out the beauty of the flowers and branches while respecting their natural state. To achieve this, you will experience the Japanese aesthetic of "wabi-sabi" in a session with our instructor, awakening your primal senses.

What To Expect
We offer a cultural experience course at a flower shop located in a renovated traditional townhouse, approximately 100 years old, near the Kinkaku-ji Temple and the Daitoku-ji Temple. You'll have the opportunity to learn about the history and art of IKEBANA (Japanese flower arrangement) while experiencing the beauty of flowers that adorn Japan's seasons. Beginners are welcome to join us.

5.00My fiancé and I went to this class on our trip to Kyoto, and this was the most amazing part of our trip so far. The hosts are kind, patient, knowledgeable and encouraging. I would spend all evening with the hosts! We came during Sakura season so we were able to use the Sakura blossoms which was so pretty! It was also so nice that it was private for just us two so we still were able to get quality time together. The hosts also took some photos along the way so we got some cute candid photos of us laughing at each other during the process. This was worth every penny and more!

5.00One of my favorite things I did in Kyoto. Both hosts were knowledgable and answered all the questions I had. It was a really good time ! They even sent our arrangements to us to our hotels . Really the nicest people ever.

5.00My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed this peaceful ikebana lesson. What a breath of fresh air in contrast to the busy Kyoto scene! Taro-san and Chiaki-san were incredibly welcoming and knowledgable and encouraged us that there was no right or wrong answer. Our ikebana was also delivered to our accomodation afterwards. OOKINI 🌸🙏🏼

Our host was kind and patient, even when I paused to translate for my mother in Spanish, and they stayed with us past the scheduled time with steady guidance. They shared thoughtful insights into ikebana and welcomed our ideas, which helped us create arrangements that felt uniquely our own. I loved that the flowers were seasonal, a gentle reminder of the moment we were in, and it was especially considerate that they delivered our finished pieces to the hotel so we could enjoy them during our stay. Every time we walked into the room and saw them, we were reminded of the class and felt the calm energy of the flowers in our space. They also provided a simple yet thorough guide to the process, which was easy to follow and perfect for recreating at home. I recommend this class without hesitation. Our host was very kind, I brought my 6-year old daughter with and they had a flower set up for her too and kindly sat with her to do hers so I could do my floral arrangement in peace. They explain what Ikebana basic principles are and include a print out which is appreciated, I love to learn and take notes. And at the end of the day the host dropped off our flowers and branches. I highly recommend for the delightful experience!

5.00I went with my parents and we all loved the class! The instructor taught us the basics and we each made our own ikebana arrangement. It was a very relaxing activity on our vacation. I would definitely recommend!
