The ceremony was lovely. Our host was very kind, explaining the history and elements of the tea ceremony. We were able to enjoy the tea she made, a traditional sweet, and she guided us through making our own. It was an educational and zen experience for our family.

On our honeymoon in Japan, one experience we didn’t want to miss was the tea ceremony. It was a really beautiful and interesting experience at times hypnotic. Our guide explained the ceremony well and then had us make our own tea. Experience that I recommend for those who want to immerse themselves in Japanese culture
