I really enjoyed the tour with Kazu! She told us a lot about the history of Kyoto and showed us many parts of the city. At the food market, she asked us what we wanted to try and what we had already tasted, so she could create a perfect program for us. Super happy with this tour :)

What a wonderful experience. Akino is so knowledgeable and her enthusiasm in sharing her culture is contagious. I tasted food that I would never tried by myself. And I have learned so much in a few hours. Thank you so much Akino, you built a lifelong memory for me.

Kosuke was a brilliant guide and we had a great experience. Tasty food, lovely company, good conversation and interesting info about the market, food, Japan and the Kyoto-Osaka region. He was also able to offer my wife good vegetarian options and it didn't feel like she was missing out on any of the food stops.

Akino was an awesome guide. She was able to tailor our tour, giving us some great insights in to the historical, cultural, comercial and even spiritual significance of the Nishiki market, all while helping us sample things we would have not known to try on our own. She was able to adjust the sampling to fit our allergies and our adventure level and in the end, we walked away with a new appreciation of Japanese street food and some incredible memories. It’s exactly what we were hoping for, and we’d highly recommend it to anyone interested in getting past the touristy food offerings and enjoying true Kyoto street delicacies.
