Step into a quiet hidden space in Kyoto and experience a deeply immersive private sound bath using rare Japanese instruments.
During this 60-minute session, you will simply lie down, close your eyes, and allow layers of gentle resonance and overtones to surround your body. The sounds are created using rare handcrafted Japanese instruments with rich, meditative vibrations.
Unlike more stimulating sound experiences, this session is inspired by the Japanese concept of “ma” — the beauty of silence, stillness, and space. Rather than overwhelming the senses, the sound gradually invites you into a calm and deeply restful state.
The session takes place in a peaceful private setting with no other guests, allowing you to fully relax and immerse yourself in the atmosphere.
This unique Kyoto experience combines Japanese craftsmanship, sound, stillness, and deep relaxation — creating a memorable moment that stays with you long after your journey ends.

Step away from the crowds of Kyoto and enter a quiet private space dedicated to stillness and deep rest. This immersive 60-minute sound bath experience is performed entirely using the handcrafted Japanese Singing Ring, a rare instrument known for its rich resonance and layered overtones. As you lie down comfortably, gentle vibrations gradually fill the space, creating a calm atmosphere that can be felt throughout the body. Inspired by the Japanese concept of “ma” — the beauty of silence and space — this experience focuses not on stimulation, but on stillness. Rather than simply listening to sound, many guests describe the feeling as being softly surrounded by resonance, where the boundary between sound and silence begins to fade. The experience is completely private, allowing you to fully relax without distractions and immerse yourself in a quiet moment away from the busy pace of travel. Rooted in Japanese sensibility and minimalism, this is more than a typical sound bath. It is a unique Kyoto experience of resonance, silence, and deep relaxation — a memorable encounter with sound and stillness that stays with you long after your journey ends.

As an experienced sound healer myself, I was looking for inspiration and relaxation ofcourse, I came across Junichirou’s address. This was the best discovery I could imagine, he is such a great sound master! His English is as outspoken as the journey he takes you with. Profound, delicate, subtle and ever so strong. Thank you so much Junichirou for the sound bath, you relaxed and energized us on through your sound journey, looking forward for a next session when we are in Kyoto! Arigato, Rick and Thom BV

It was a beautiful experience. Our guide met us at the local family mart so we wouldn’t get lost. You lay on a heated mat, with an eye mask and blanket. He starts by playing next to you. Then he places the bowl on you so you feel the vibrations! You might just fall asleep. He will take a couple pictures and send them to you as a souvenir. It was a truly one of a kind experience! Definitely recommend!

I’ve enjoyed this activity twice now and it is easily the most unique and memorable experience our family has had in Kyoto. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was exceptional—warm, welcoming, and very personal. We were fascinated by the sound bath technique. It was incredible to learn how different sound waves impact the body; the host has a remarkable ability to identify "problem areas" just by the way your body resounds to and absorbs the sound. It is deeply relaxing and scientifically fascinating at the same time. If you are looking for something unique and restorative beyond the usual overcrowded tourist sites, do not miss this!

Simple yet very relaxing experience. The copper bowls gave off wonderful vibrations. They were especially calming when placed on our bodies.

What an amazing way to relax and unwind. Our guide was kind, proud of his craft, eager to share and for us to learn. I did this with my 16 y.o. son who was reluctant about trying something new but he also really enjoyed it!

Junichiro provides an amazing sound bath experience! He’s very talented and professional. He was very good at keeping me up to date about our upcoming session and had booked a lovely traditional Japanese room for us overlooking a botanical garden. The location really added to the experience. The sound bath was the best one I’ve ever experienced before. It was very relaxing. After the sound bath junichiro showed me how the bowls work which was very interesting and fun. As a solo female traveller I am always vary about my safety when booking private activities such as this, but junichiro made me feel completely at ease and safe during our session. I highly recommend booking a session with him if you’re in Kyoto!

First and foremost junchiro put us at ease immediately as we weren’t sure what to expect. Clearly he is passionate and knowledgeable about his art and eager to share it. Relaxing, spiritual, healing, the beautiful sounds he creates are magical. It was a great way to start our day and the feeling and memory continues for more than that piece of time in the studio. Thank you Junchiro, you have a real gift and have shared a real gift!

This was amazing. I'd never done a sound bath before and didn't know what to expect. All I knew was it was supposed to be calming. However, when it was over, not only was I calm, but I was clear-headed and alert, too! Junchiro was so nice and explained everything so well.

Junichiro is so talented! Had an amazing sound bath with instruments only found in Japan. I have done a few sound baths in the US, but none like this. He actually placed the bowls on my body for parts of the sound bath so I could feel the vibration & energy flowing. Afterwards, we drank tea and he taught me to play the instruments. Such an incredible, one-of-a-kind experience that I hope others will choose to enjoy! Oh and Junichiro just started learning English a year and a half ago, but his English is incredible! 10 out of 10 recommend. Wish I could go again before I leave Japan!
