The samurai experience was outstanding. The instructor blended rich historical information with a hands-on experience, making everything feel authentic and meaningful. Nothing about the session felt rushed or commercialised — it moved at a thoughtful pace and gave plenty of time to truly understand each technique and its background. It was informative without being overwhelming, interactive without feeling touristy, and carefully guided from start to finish. A truly memorable and well-crafted experience that I would highly recommend. Really enjoyed the meditation.

Very informative. The experience took you back in time. The sword and ritual portion were unlike any I expected. Worth the price of admission

Fantastic experience and my favourite for my first holiday in Japan. The Iaido instructor was amazing with the skill he showed using the katana and the guidance he provided, while the other instructor who performed the shakuhachi I believe and the zen was also superb. The area in which we performed these activities was wonderful and were a perfect suit for the occasion. The staff were extremely friendly and had very positive attitudes, especially the lady at the end who helped me and my friend to purchase bokken and helped with the shipping. Overall it was a wonderful experience and I’ll definitely attend again next time I come to Japan! Only thing I could suggest for an improvement is let me cut the bamboo or wear the armour as the experience left me wanting more!

We had a great time at the Kyoto Samurai Experience. The team made sure that every part of the experience was as good as it could be, from experiencing the clothing and the space, to learning a little about sword craft, as well as zen meditation. We leave with great photos and great memories.

We had a wonderful Samurai experience. Our instructor was outstanding—knowledgeable, engaging, and generous with fascinating insights into Samurai history and technique. The setting itself was remarkable, held in a beautifully preserved Samurai house that added so much authenticity to the visit. The translators were also incredibly kind and helpful, making the entire experience smooth and enjoyable. Highly recommended!

I recently visited the Samurai Experience in Kyoto, and it turned out to be one of the most unforgettable moments of my trip. The atmosphere is incredibly authentic — from the setting to the training style — it truly makes you feel like you’ve stepped into the world of real samurai. The staff are exceptionally kind, respectful, and very professional. They explained every step with patience and made the whole training both safe and exciting. One of the most interesting parts is that my friend and I became the first Uzbek visitors to join their training experience. This made the day even more special for us. I highly recommend this place to anyone who is interested in samurai culture or simply looking for a unique and enjoyable activity in Kyoto. You’ll leave with not only new skills, but also amazing memories.

So much fun for our entire family? The English-speaking staff from all around the world was so helpful and the entire experience from beginning to end was educational, exciting and engaging. Our 8-year old and 11-year old loved it and we honestly think it's one of the best activities we've done during our international travels. Would highly recommend.

Our experience was amazing , both sword masters who showed us the meditation technique and the sword practice were so amazing and experienced. We really enjoyed it so much . I would love if there’s more time practice with the katana. We visited on 19/Nov , We forgot to ask for the photos they were taking so I wanted to know if there’s a way to get our photos so we can keep it as a memory 🥹🤍🤍
