5.00A bit cheesy for sure, but also super fun. Learned a ton about the culture of samurai, history, the handling of authentic older weapons and newer replicas was fascinating. And, lets be honest, its fun to swing a sword!

5.00To do absolutely! Incredible experience!!! Our best activity in Japan and by far, the immersion is total and the place is exceptional. The staff is very kind and friendly and thank you to the sword master for teaching us these gestures that will remain forever in our memories!

5.00What an incredible experience from beginning to end. It’s notoriously hard to secure a reservation—and now I completely understand why. Be sure to book well in advance if you don’t want to miss out. The setting is a genuine samurai house, full of authentic features that really bring it to life. The staff were welcoming, attentive, and incredibly helpful throughout. I especially enjoyed the sword practice and would absolutely recommend it.

1.00We are so disappointed in this company. We scheduled this for our two sons months ago and they just reached out to ask us to cancel due to a tour company wanting the slot we booked. Now it is too late for us to book a different time while we are in Kyoto. So disappointing.

5.00We absolutely loved this experience in Kyoto! It had a wonderful authentic feel to it, being in an actual old Samurai house, beautifully restored. The opportunity to hold a centuries old katana and be told about the history of the samurai, was amazing. The skills of our sword master were very impressive, his instructions were very clear and he had a good sense of humor. The English native- speakers were running the experience very smoothly, helping us with translations and changing into Samurai clothing. All in all it was a very well organised, smooth, fun and educational experience! Highly recommended!!
