Be on time if you want to dress up as a samurai. The people are very nice, there's a lot of explanation before you start, and the history of the samurai. It's a lot of fun!

We had an unforgettable morning, thanks to the amazing team from Kyoto Samurai Experience! The team were fantastic—knowledgeable, passionate, and engaging. They brought the history, culture, and stories of the Samurai to life in such a fun and memorable way. The actual experience of using the samurai sword was a definite highlight and with the team's guidance we aways felt safe and the overall experience was amazing. It definitely has added to our special memories of Japan.

Just an amazing time from beginning to end. A beautiful historic (samurai) home in Kyoto was the setting and it was perfect. Wonderful, helpful staff assist you in getting into traditional garb, thrill you with demonstrations and sharing knowledge, and train you for your very own time as a samurai, followed by zen meditation to remind you of the mind's connection to your body and its actions. My teenage son and I enjoyed every moment and can't recommend this highly enough!

It was so interesting learning about Ken and Zen. The people working at this experience made you feel welcome and comfortable and shared their passion for the Samurai culture - not just sword play but meditation as well. Swinging a katana is fun, but the experience is so much more than that. I would highly recommend it.
