This experience was amazing and was a highlight of our trip. We were immersed with humor, culture, tradition, kindness and authenticity. The sword practice was fun and we all wanted to do more. There was also time for q&a. We learnt a lot and walked away feeling it was a great experience especially for the price. Would recommend to anyone who wants to immerse themselves in a Samurai experience. They also took great pictures

I went to this experience alone as I was solo travelling, I had a great time and this was a highlight of my trip. It was a nice small group and I found it very interesting. I particularly enjoyed having a go with the sword myself. I recommend.

This experience is a MUST DO WHEN IN KYOTO! This unique once in a lifetime experience is something you will never be able to experience outside of Japan and maybe even outside of Kyoto! Not only do you get to visit the home a real samurai, but you learn the history of the Meiji period, how the home was spared, and even get to utilize a real katana to cut a block target several times!! I was unable to find anywhere else in Japan where they allowed me to wield let alone use a REAL KATANA to cut anything and trust me I have searched far and wide from Tokyo to Kyoto to Osaka, etc. You will get to experience so much more than what I just wrote so don’t think twice and JUST DO THIS OR YOU WILL REGRET IT!!
