We got dressed up in samurai attire, mediated, learned some history, and were able to use swords. The whole thing felt really authentic rather than just some ‘tourist spot’. Experience was amazing!

This was a fascinating experience! We felt so lucky to be in a home owned by a samurai and to hold a 650 year old katana. The sword masters were so skilled. Everyone was extremely kind to us and our two children ages 6 and 8. It was a unique experience!

A very nice experience, in an old real samurái house and inmersive on a charming atmosphere. With english speaking nonjapanese to traslate from the japanese guys who guide the experience. I did with my 13 year old son and he was amazed and impressed, cutting foam with a real katana.

Did this with my 20 year old son and his friend and we all loved it. Where else do you get to learn to use a samurai sword over 100 years old? Everything was well explained, safe and the demonstration was amazing. Would do it again if I get back to Kyoto.
