We had a fantastic family time. Weather was perfect for this adventure packed trip. Coffee plantation owned by a local, Butterfly garden, wild life and waterfall at La Paz was an incredible experience. Included lunch at La Paz was buffet style. Our guide Eugene & driver Marcus made sure our trip was enjoyable. We stopped by at a gift shop along the way for strawberry, cheese & wine tasting!!

Daniel and Eugenio picked us up at our hotel! Daniel was an outstanding driver who navigated through the mountain roads with ease. Never felt nervous at all. He watched over us at most of the stops and ensured the bus was locked at all times when we were touring. Eugenio was an excellent tour guide! Well versed with over 18 years on this tour route. From explaining the topography in great detail, it was nice to see, hear and touch the coffee fields and get the history of the area. From a stop for fresh strawberries, bananas, cheese, and coffee, this tour featured much more than we expected. At the Refuge Park (Zoo), he was able to bring in a Employee to explain the various snakes and others for the animals they care for. A real nice touch. A real thorough knowledge of the butterflies, frogs, snakes, pumas, cockatoos, etc. The tour of the Waterfalls was amazing! A gorgeous walkway makes traversing the waterfalls fairly easy. We were warned that this was located in a Tropical Rain Forest, with an emphasis on “Rain”, so we were prepared to get wet. And Boy, did we! Beautiful sunny weather in San Jose, and a lot of rain in the mountains! It was wonderful. This is a tour I highly recommend, especially with Daniel and Eugenio. They were outstanding in every way!

It’s a fun and active tour. Make sure to bring your rain gear so you don’t have to buy a poncho. Food was delicious. The waterfalls are amazing.

The guide taught us a lot and always made sure our questions are well answered. He was very caring and make sure we know the choices we have and what are the challenges for us -- the elders. He was wonderful!

The entire experience from booking a trip and getting picked up at the BNB to going thru the park and getting dropped off back at our place of stay was amazing. Highly recommend. For older individuals me mindful of steep stairs and lots of walking up hill. Alejandro our guide is awesome. Thanks for the experience!

Nice tour which is not far from San Jose however traffic on return is bad so do not expect predictable return time. It is more of a Zoo type environment with nice walk-through waterfalls.
