Nice tour which is not far from San Jose however traffic on return is bad so do not expect predictable return time. It is more of a Zoo type environment with nice walk-through waterfalls.

Our guides Eduardo and Alejandro were very kind and knowledgeable. Many interesting facts about the Costa Rican culture. Very vigorous walking getting to the waterfalls portion. The refuge was nice. The buffet had a very good variety of. Pizza and hotdogs for the kids that are picky eaters. We also stopped by a few stores for shopping and great coffee. Very steep steps and windy paths. Be prepared for a lot of exhaustion if you’re not used to walking daily.

The trip was excellent, guide Edgar made it a real fun experience, sharing knowledge with patience and humour. The places were beyond beautiful, the drive - comfy and as scheduled, and we were really lucky not to get rain! Totally recommend it to people who want to catch a glimpse of wildlife not far from busy towns.

It’s a breathtaking place! It was a rainy day we got soaked with raincoats but we still loved it. Our tour guide was awesome! I had been before but learned so much more with his knowledge! Go see this place! There are a lot of steps at the waterfalls but flat places in between you can rest. This is a perfect Costa Rica culture trip. The coffee farm and process were interesting also.

Pickup from our hotel was on time and we were off to La Paz waterfall gardens. We had a short stop to visit a coffee field and learn about coffee growing process. Once at La Paz waterfall, we walked thru all the animal exhibits and had a good buffet lunch. After lunch, we walked thru the waterfalls which were flowing quite strong with all the rain.

An absolutely phenomenal day out. My guide was extremely knowledgeable about Costa Rican history, as well as its biodiverse environment and ecology. I was the only person to book on the day I went and he didn’t just cancel the tour. It’s well worth the money, I highly recommend!!
