We can't predict the weather or the animals behavior. But we did get an amazing boat driver and guide. We got our set of rules laid out for us, got all the information about the canal we rode on, got information about the monkeys we were going to see, and we were told about the plants that are special to the Panama region. We got to see quite a few monkeys right up close on the boat, and we were told when it was best to take pictures of them or video so we didn't miss the best shots. We did have a freak downpour and thunderstorm during our ride, and it was just such a strong pelting rain nothing could have stayed dry. Even during the storm we felt safe on the boat and made the best of it. Really good trip. You should know about the bathroom! Take toilet paper! There isn't a chance to go when you get on the water, and when we went, there was only one port a potty available in the jungle heat, and it was a short hike up a hill from the boat. The guide suggested those of us who could pee in the bushes before the boat should do so.

Ran on time with personable tour guides (Daniel the tour guide, Cpt. Jack Sparrow the boat captain, Juliette the wildlife spotter, and Bryan the bus driver). Good views of wildlife (howler monkeys, titi monkeys, and capuchin monkeys, tiny bats).
