Lake Minnewanka

Lake Minnewanka is a glacial lake located in Banff National Park, Canada, approximately five kilometers northeast of the Banff townsite. It is 21 kilometers long and 142 meters deep, making it the second longest lake in the mountain parks of the Canadian Rockies. The lake is fed by the Cascade River and is known for its rich history, having been inhabited by the Stoney Nakoda First Nations people for over 10,000 years, referred to as "Minn-waki" or "Lake of the Spirits".
