Hell's Gate National Park
Hell's Gate National Park, located south of Lake Naivasha in Kenya's Great Rift Valley, is one of the few national parks in the country where visitors can explore freely on foot or by bicycle. Named by explorers in 1883 after a narrow break in its towering cliffs, the park is famous for its dramatic volcanic scenery, geothermal activity, and for serving as the visual inspiration for Disney's The Lion King.
